"What makes the Link Hotel so special: All of the staff are great people without exception and this includes maintenance and cleaning staff. Really, they are helpful, friendly and responsive to any issues you may have. Here is a case of 5 star staff in a 3 star hotel. Special mention to Harry, Emily, Denise, Monique, Romana, Steph. Joanna on cleaning and Mark + Ashley on maintenance. Oh, and yes, the rooms are clean and even though the bathroom extractor fan didn’t work in our room, everything else was great. One of the Best breakfast buffets we’ve encountered anywhere. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt."

"This stay corrosponded with a 50th birthday we were invited to, and chose this accomodation as it was fairly close! We arrived, and no one answered the door, I then phoned, a very polite helpful gentleman let us in, and apologised profusely for not hearing the bell. I was upset at first, that my sister was on the ground floor, and I was on the top floor, but the gentleman carried up my case, I am 67 my sister 75! However both rooms were in very good condition extremely clean, and as I said to the gentleman on checkout, I was thrilled to be in a penthouse suite, but I find the stairs difficult now! The gentleman, sorry I dont know his name, again apologised for me being up the top, but I said it was fine, I also realised that I had stayed at this guest house before, it was at least 15 years ago! Ha! Ha! The only criticism I can say, I found the room chilly, there was a radiator, and also an added electric one, but I think it is possible the double glazing might need to be replaced, and in the shower room, the windows need a decorate. Apart from that great! The TV was a smart one, so I must admit it was a bit lost on me, but I managed to watch what I needed! Excellent couple of days. Thankyou"

"Six of us stayed in this property in December 2023, and although there was plenty of space, the condition of the property was not as described or advertised. Firstly, unlike the 2/3 bathrooms as advertised on Expedia, the property only has one shower and one toilet. The toilet is in a cupboard-sized 'room', directly in front of a door with a window. And so privacy is a big issue here! The shower was clearly leaking, and has/is currently leaking into the games room below - staining and rotting the ceiling. At one point, the front door locked us all inside. We had to exit the house using a door that led to a neighbour's property, and re-enter from the outside; which raised a lot of security concerns. The bedding was old, stained, and did not smell fresh. Rooms were dusty, with cupboard doors in the upstairs bedroom leading into attic rooms covered with spider webs and dust. Utilities were outdated, and paint/wallpaper was peeling off in places. The pool table was shoddy, with weak cues and a small table. The whole house needs a renovation! Overall, we were very shocked that a property this size only has one shower and one toilet. Also, for such a high price - the quality of utilities, cleanliness, and overall experience was very disappointing. Take the professional-looking photos with a pinch of salt!"
