The hotel is close enough to walk to/from the main train station in Nottingham - just a bit uphill if you're dragging luggage. It's in a lovely area of the city, right in the old industrial revolution heart of it, with a beautiful church on one corner and the National Justice Museum right across the street. It's also within easy walking distance of City Caves, Ye Olde Trip to Jersusalem, Bell Inn, the castle and Robin Hood statue - and many other interesting sites. Check-in was easy with friendly staff who stored our bags for the day. The room was tidy, quite good-sized, with excellent amenities. Restaurants galore nearby. Breakfast - I had the full English and buffet - was tasty, cooked well, and prompt in delivery. Despite the on-off rain (of course!), our stay was made comfortable, cozy, and perfect for a day stopover.
