"From the owner to the location, we couldn’t have asked for more. The house was well equipped and the owner went above and beyond to throw in some extras. He made our 3 year delay worth it. Fantastic pubs, within feet of property and downtown St. Andrews an easy 5 minute walk. Carrying the golf clubs to the first tee was about the best experience you can have as a golfer. Cheers!!"

"What a pleasant surprise this find was! We were able to book three nights on relatively short notice. There were four of us visiting Scotland, with two playing golf at several of the local courses. It is very conveniently located near St. Andrews, as well as other little coastal towns. We stayed in The Pines, which was a lovely little house at the end of a road. The grounds were beautiful, and the house fit our every need. It was a perfect ending to a busy 10-day Scottish whirlwind tour."

"I can’t put into words how stunning this place is! The host had the place all decorated for Christmas since we were there for the festivities which was great as we had a little one with us. The house is very spacious and was spotless! Only bit of feedback I have is that the kitchen utensils could be doing with an update. I was cooking christmas dinner which was a bit harder as there was no working potato peeler and there was not a small knife to use, only large ones. There was also no whisk but...

"Christian was responsive and incredibly easy to deal with. Location between Old Course and restaurants and pubs couldn't be better. VRBO itself was perfect for us - we were a group of 6 men travelling for golf, and this house worked great. Sitting area with large table under the glass provided huge amount of room for playing cards and eating. More space than the pictures would indicate. St. Andrew's is a special place for golfer's, and a great town for anyone to visit. Our recommendations:...

"Spent a splendid week in the Old Schoolhouse in September 2023, a quiet, comfortable, well equipped cottage in the centre of Fife giving easy access to all that wonderful county has to offer. Lesley and Bill were excellent hosts and we always knew we didn't have far to go for help or advice. We visited the coast, Dundee, St Andrews and even a managed a windy game of mini-golf! "It was a lovely cottage in a lovely location. I would have given it a 5 star but there was a couple of things that made it a 4 star rating. The postcode doesn’t take you to the location and it would have helped if there had been directions given to let you know that. I had to contact the seller to find out how I get in as well as directions when we got there. No hand towels were provided and there was 5 of us staying who all needed those for after washing our hair. Very bare minimum of things...

"The apartment is very comfortable with all you need. Well presented and spotlessly clean throughout. Within a minutes walk from Pittenweem harbour, with parking on the street outside. The terrace looking straight out to sea and the Isle of May is wonderful and we enjoyed drinks in the sunshine as we were fortunate with the weather for the end of April. We would thoroughly recommend the apartment - a cut above as my mother in law used to say."

"First time in Pittenweem. The flat was small but we didn’t need anything bigger. Space had been used carefully and was well furnished. When the wood burning stove got going it made for a cosy experience. Pleasant seafront area nearby and Anstruther is only half a mile or so away. St. Andrews is about 20 minutes by car. Well worth a short visit (three nights for us)."
