The hotel I usually stay in while visiting family in Budapest was fully booked the weekend Ii planned to visit the city and therefore I was forced to find another hotel in the area I usually stay when I am in Budapest. My husband and I had passed this quirky apartment building on one of our neighborhood walks, but we certainly didn't think it was an apart hotel (apartment/hotel)... I booked with E & G Residencce because I thought it would be convenient for once to stay in a fully equipped apartment and the price was very reasonable. I was extremely happy I did. The apartment I was given was bright, airy, very large, immaculately clean and very conveniently located. I bought a few things for breakfast and enjoyed waking up in the morning and not having to rush to the dining room before breakfast hours ended.

Great welcome on our arrival, the staff were happy and extremely attentive. Andras was so helpful throughout our stay...nothing was too much trouble. He certainly is a great asset to the hotel. The Hotel is relatively new and consequently the interior is up to date, clean and accommodating. Our room was cleaned spotlessly every day. It was spacious, had a well appointed en suite with all the mod cons. The bed was a super king size with very comfortable independent mattresses. Breakfast is buffet style with hot or cold offerings and plenty of fruit, cereals and yogurts. We loved the location of the Hotel and the Pest side of the city was only a 15 minute walk away across the Margit bridge. Take a tram across, get off at the end of the bridge and catch a tram which takes you along the Danube (with it on your right hand side) and stops at frequent intervals for walks into the city. Buy yourself a 2 day ticket for the Red Bus "Hop on ,hop off" which also covers night trips and a boat trip on the Danube...great value.... these can be purchased at the Hotel.
Everything was great...Thank you REGNUM.....Enjoy!!
"Great hotel within walking distance of Castle Hill"
After a late flight we were in our hotel in about an hour -bus 200E to end of metro line 3 then one change to line 2. Slight confusion as station was named Moskva Ter on map whereas it is called Szell Kalman Ter! It was about 5 minutes walk to our hotel. We could walk to Buda old town and Castle Hill or take a bus. Tram 4-6 took us across Margit Bridge with amazing views of the Chain Bridge and Parliament. Tram 2 took us along the river. We bought a 3 day pass which covered trams, buses, and metros and was well worth it as the transport system is so good. I dont think we ever waited more that 5 minutes. An afternoon in the Szechenyi Baths complimented our sight seeing. A tour of Parliament should not be missed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, shampoos and shower gels were provided which is good as we only took hand luggage on the plane and the Wi Fi worked well. There was a great selection of food at breakfast catering for every taste and was served in a lovely conservatory restaurant. We had a great holiday in a really beautiful city.
By far, one of the best places I've stayed. We arrived late and the hotel staff checked us in with complete friendliness. Each staffer we talked to spoke English. There were a lot of American travelers as well, as this is a time share exchange hotel. Breakfast was great, hotel was clean. It is quite away from the city, but we were in a car, so didn't deal with public transportation.
Very friendly staff, service is in line with the 3 star rating.
You have to walk a little to get public transportation as the villa is situated in the green 2nd district.
I think pretty good value for money.
