Kind of expensive for what it is.

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: The staff were nice.
Cons: Desperately needs new furniture, carpet, etc. in rooms.
Location: Convenient location - just a mile from downtown Denton, right on the interstate.
The staff were all very nice. The beds, bedding, and furniture were ancient and the non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes of the past. I slept on top of the comforter, not wanting to actually get in the bed. It was quiet for being right on the freeway.

worst hotel experience

Posted 23-Dec-2014 on Hotels.com
First room we were in the heater was not working, so we waited about 35 mins for them to come look at it. We then moved to another room, where the light switch did not work. I then found a bug crawling on my sheets. The bed was extremely uncomfortabl. The lobby smelt like an out house and the breakfast looked very unattractive and dry. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

Good Value

Posted 12-May-2014
Pros: Priced right. Freeway easy off, easy on. Close to several restaurants
Clean, courteous, convenient. What do you mean, Expedia? What the heck else is there to say that is needed to qualify a mid priced hotel?

UNT visit

My room was very musty smelling. The key card didn't work every time I left the room I had to go to front desk to get it fixed. My room was 30 feet from the back door to the kitchen of the restaurant next door. The door was open all night and the kitchen noise was very loud. Don't count on filling up at breakfast.

Four Day Stay

Posted 08-May-2014
Pros: It was CLEAN and they cleaned it daily. It was located perfectly for what we needed. The restaurant had good food.
Cons: Make sure you get a room on the bottom floor, on the out side. Where you can have your vehicle parked right outside your door.
Location: It is in a very good location.
Our Daughter lives very close to this Hotel and we stayed here for convenience sake. I read all the reviews and they didn't sound too great, but they all claimed to be clean. Our room was clean and they cleaned it every day and we had no problems. There were no traces of any critters. The place is old and some what run down. People live there with their kids as they work in the area. The room had recently been painted and attempted to be updated. The carpet was stained as you walked in the door. We didn't walk around bare footed. The air conditioner had what looked like old dried up moldy stuff in it. It didn't smell but you could see the stuff behind the screen and it was all crusty and flaky. The bed was comfortable. After reading reviews, I chose to take extra pillows and was glad I did. The thin bead spread was enough for us, but there were no extra blankets. Over all, the experience was alright and worked for us this time. Not sure we will ever stay there again. Can't say I felt completely safe. You certainly do get what you pay for and...we didn't pay very much. We got 4 nights for the price of one at a higher end place. Nothing against the staff, it's just the clientele the cheap Hotel caters too. We did eat at the restaurant and they had fast, friendly service with good Mexican food. We never ate the breakfast provided but my husband would go up front and get coffee every morning. He said it always looked fresh and some one would be up there eating.

Close to a decent Restaurant

Posted 28-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
The room smelled musty when I went in. I thought it was just stale air. I turned on the AC and left for the evening. When I came back it smelled a little better. I tossed and turned all night. About 5 in the morning I turned over on my stomach and smelled why the room smelled musty. Someone had been smoking in the room and it soaked in the pillows (probably the rest of the furniture/rugs etc. It was supposed to be a non smoking room. I told the clerk at the desk when I turned in my key.
