“Nice hotel, let down in ways”

We travelled by train, so the underground tunnel from the station to the hotel was convenient, albeit under renovation and only partially open. Surrounding area was sparse, inconvenient for meals and supplies. Room was well appointed, however lacked a fridge and towel racks! Staff tried to be helpful, however they were a of a typical Texan-standard for service. Got a fantastic rate, otherwise not worth it.

Area recommendations
Dallas seems to be struggling at the moment. Police were aplenty, usually attending to crimes. Beggars and other loonies harassed us no end and that was Downtown! Downtown is dead most of the time, the people stick mostly to the suburbs. No real areas of Dallas are worth visiting. Downtown is the best, the suburbs (particularly southern) are quite empoverished.
Getting around
The DART light rail is fantastic. Reasonably frequent services and cheap. Pick up a day pass.
Must see
JFK Museum. Relive the assassination of one of America's favourite sons.

“HighTimes At The Hyatt”

The hotels was fabulous. The personnel was wonderful and very accommodating. The room was absolutely beautiful as well as comfortable. The view was magnificant. I had a panoramic view of the whole downtown metro area. I will definitely stay there again and again.

Area recommendations
I highly recommend the downtown area for nightlife and the highland park area for shopping.
When to go
There is no right or wrong time to go to Dallas. Just go. No matter what time of the season there is always something going on in Dallas. Its a very large city with many attractions all through the year. If one does venture to Dallas just plan your trip carefully and don't get there at 5:00pm because traffic is horrible.

“Caitlin”

Hyatt was very accommodating, we stayed for 1 night for the dallas white rock marathon and the hotel let us have a late check out of 4pm! We've never heard of that before, most places do noon - at the latest. We were able to come back to the hotel and shower before heading home. So great. Our only small complaint was that there was an event there the night we checked-in and the valets made us park so far, we were guests at the hotel and we were told we were not allowed to park in the garage and it was pouring outside.

“Concert stay.”

went to Dallas for a concert at The House of Blues. At check in Jamario at the front desk was outstanding with his customer service, answered all my annoying questions and better yet made me feel at home as if we knew each other for some time haha. Overall my stay was perfect, the hotel is beautiful and must say the city of Dallas has finally cleaned up the downtown area. I felt safe walking around even late at night as I made my way back from The House of Blues. I would absolutely stay here again if visiting Dallas again. Thank you.

“One of the best hotels I've stayed at!!”

“"OK"”

The Lobby was beautiful! The front desk service was excellent however the servers in the bar area was not the friendliest. We ask for another room on another floor because the one looked like someone had tried to break in the room, the wood on the door was all chipped away! The sushi guys in Five Sixty restaurant were the best well worth the money!

“Great place to stay”

Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The bed was so comfortable and everything was very clean. We had a room on the 19th floor overlooking the city. The staff were sooo nice and southern hospitality was alive and kicking in Dallas overall. My only minor complaint is that the restaurant was closed much of the time, presumably because of the lack of business. But room service was reasonably priced and the food arrived quickly and was hot. Would definitely stay here again.
