Posted 21-Dec-2014
Pros:

Gammelt hyggeligt hotel

Posted 31-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com

Nice vintage hotel

Posted 30-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is located behind the Bruges center, very convenience. It was a bit noisy when we left the window open, but it quiet down at night. The dinning room has tables overlooking the cannel. Breakfast at the hotel was great, more than enough variety for anyone.

We love Bruges

We visited as a group of 6 friends for a relaxed weekend. The hotels location is spectacular. The restaurant and lobby areas are beautiful and so deliciously old! Our rooms were on an upper floor with views over the canal. The stairway, corridors and rooms were all very tired BUT everything was adequate, usable and clean. I think a modern makeover would look really odd in such an old building so any redecorating would have to be done sympathetically. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. I think we got good value for money for a room right in the heart of the city.

Room with THE view!

Posted 24-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Our canal view room was so picturesque....look up Brugges and that's the view! An amazing city centre rich in history. The hotel staff where all very pleasant and accommodating. While clean and perfectly located, the hotel could use a makeover. It's well worn.

In the middle of everything!

This hotel is romantic and old-fashioned. You step out on the cobblestone square and feel transported back in history. The hotel feels timeless, and the dining room is simply breath-taking, as it overlooks the canals on two sides. Rooms are worn and dated, but who cares? I actually preferred the shabby charm and warm, comfortable feeling to Belgium's current modern trend in hotels. A beautiful place to stay - our most memorable hotel in Belgium.
