Good hotel for Genting arena, Airport and Rail

Posted 29-Jun-2015
Pros: Distance to the arena and rail station,
Cons: The room was rather hot at night, but have since found out we could of asked for a fan
Location: We left the car at hotel and used train to Cadbury world and a day shopping in Birmingham.
The hotel staff very helpful and polite. Had dinner in restaurant, very good set meal menu. Restaurant manager very helpful offering advice re rail service, getting to arena etc. Nothing too much trouble. Room clean and tidy. Hotel generally smart, small areas that need redecorating but for the price cannot complain

Wonderful Hotel

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Pros: The hotel was clean, the staff were wonderful and the price was great.
Cons: Having a free shuttle service to and from public transportation.
Location: I don't know - we only stayed for the comfort of being by the airport.
We arrived by train and took a taxi to the hotel for a one night stay to get an early flight in the morning. Upon arriving the hotel staff immediately greeted us and checked us in quickly. The room was clean and fresh. We went down to the bar for food that was very good and the wait staff was very attentive. The next morning the front desk called us a taxi for the airport. The only thing I would say is that it would have been nice to have a free shuttle service from the hotel that picked us up at the train station and to the airport. The hotel was so close that it only cost us 6 pounds each way but it still would have been nice to save that. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pleasant Stay

Posted 15-Jun-2015
Pros: Location to the NEC and friendly staff
Cons: The parking was a nightmare and we ended up parking as far away from the hotel as we could possibly get.
Location: NEC and Resort
The hotel is ideally situated for any event held at the NEC as it is only a 10 minute walk to the train station and parts of the complex but some parts of the complex can take a further 20 minutes to walk to so be warned. The staff were pleasant enough and the facilities were good. We enjoyed a nice three course meal in the restaurant later that day and the food was very good although the starter did take some time to get to us. If you can book early and get the discounted rate then it is very reasonable but if I had to pay the full £220 a night price I would say that it would have been pricey.

Average room, expensive price.

Posted 14-Jun-2015
Pros: Not much. The bed perhaps.
Cons: Everything. Or lower the price to compensate for the common, social club feel.
Location: Good access to the airport.
I bookend with Expedia, which was straightforward and easy. When I arrived on the evening, it took me 20 minutes to find a parking space. The ground was completely filled with cars, white vans, trucks, etc, and these people, I assumed were there to make use of the Hotel's leisure facilities. To access the Reception, (no signs) I had to navigate through corridors, the bar (with a rough looking group of regulars) and noisy guest making use of the slot machines, pool tables, and general bar stuff. This initial setting was intimidating for me, and I began to have second thoughts about staying at this hotel. Eventually I found the reception area, and the check in process was simple enough. The decor of the facility was a bit tired, and felt more like a high school dormitory rather than a Hotel. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. I stayed for two nights, and on both occasions, parking was near to impossible. On both occasions, I had to park in the bush. I did not get the impression that my rental car was safe, as the car park had evidence of shattered glass in the parking lot. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not.

Nice Hotel convenient for NEC

Posted 13-Jun-2015
Pros: Convenient location for NEC, comfortable bed with lovely white bed linen, hotel busy with a wedding party on Saturday but service remained excellent
Cons: I was very satisfied
Location: Convenient for NEC and Airport. Good spa facilities in hotel which I didn't have time to try
Booked Arden Leisure Hotel as convenient for NEC, and enjoyed an excellent weekend! Very pleased with accommodation, room clean and comfortable. Sat with a large crowd of friends in the Bar and we decided to eat there - very impressed with the service and friendly staff! Excellent breakfast and discovered from a staff member that it is a family run hotel and she had happily worked there for seventeen years. Booked the restaurant for the evening and enjoyed a delicious meal, beautifully presented and attentive friendly service. Would definitely recommend

Nice hotel close to NEC, but, nightmare parking

Posted 13-Jun-2015
Pros: Clean, comfortable, pleasant staff
Cons: Increased car parking.
Location: NEC
Very helpful staff. Pleasant room. Excellent shower. Food mediocre. Trying to park the car was a nightmare. Car park completely full all the time.
