Quality Hotel in Quiet Location

Posted 28-Jul-2014
A stunning boutique hotel, set in a quiet residential area, but only 10 minutes by metro from the bustle of the Barcelona centre. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Hotel and room décor surpassed expectations. An excellent choice for that "special" holiday.

Quiet Tree Lined Neighborhood

Posted 11-Jul-2014
Cons: Elevator a bit slow and small but that's normal for. Europe. This hotel is great!
Beautiful and cool Primero Primera. End of our 4 country Euro trip a very pleasant surprise. Very well priced and just so nice. Lovely neighborhood away from all the craziness of Barceloneta but within a quick cab ride if you are looking for the crazy beachside nightlife. There are bars and tapas places very close by that were enough fun and excitement for us without heading downtown. Staff are cool, fun, and very helpful - especially Eva. So nice and great with recommendations for dinner out. Side note, Primero Primera understands that - instead of nickel and diming guests with room service fees, inflated food prices, and wifi tariffs - provide free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks and enjoy the more long term benefits of repeat customers and word of mouth referrals. It's the principal of being charged for every little thing at other places I don't like - not the actual insignificant dollar amount. Not here. It's a cool sophisticated place to stay in a great non-touristy location with great facilities and very comfortable. Definitely coming back!

Excellent out of town Hotel in good location.

Excellent Hotel in quiet, upmarket area of Barcelona. Warm welcome from attentive staff as well as excellent, high quality facilities make this a good location to get away from it all, but also gain easy access to all areas of Barcelona. Highly recommended.

Pros: Decor, cleanliness, great breakfast and outstanding staff.
Location: close to Sarria metro stop. Park Guell and nice restaurants.
Great location away from the hustle and bustle of busy city centre. Convenient to Sarria metro station and bus stop route that takes you to Park Guell. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Beautifully appointed, quiet hotel!!

Posted 25-Jun-2014
Pros: Beautifully appointed…tastefully decorated….quiet oasis to come home to at the end of the day.
Cons: Weekday breakfast staff…poor attitude…almost contemptful of guests.
Location: One drawback to this hotel is it is located at the end of one metro line. Only 5 min walk to the metro but still took 30 min from downtown back.
Front desk staff were wonderful as were the weekend breakfast staff. Weekday staff were lacked the desire to give good service and certainly were not up to the standards the hotel sets in other areas.

Very stylish hotel

Location: Sarria is worth exploring - it's full of small shops and cafés and was great in the evening too.
This is a really chilled out hotel. We loved the old building and the contemporary styling. The outdoor spaces are great. We found the staff helpful - we could buy vouchers for the tour bus at a discounted rate.

A birthday treat for my Husband (& me!)

Posted 17-Jun-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: The walk to Sarria metro station is nicer than to Les Tres Torres. Buy the BCN card to get around, tho taxes are plentiful & not costly.
The only 2 negative things I could think of was the taxi driver we used from the airport who took so long to find the hotel & having to leave yesterday. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, attentive without disturbing us, helpful, efficient & thoroughly lovely. After they found out it was my husband's birthday during our stay, we were given a complimentary bottle of cava & some cake. Nice swimming pool, tho small. We had it to ourselves. Breakfast plentiful. We were sad to leave. Well worth the price. The hotel deserves the praise I read online before booking.

Beautiful boutique hotel, away from hustle.

Posted 01-Jun-2014
Pros: We loved the architecture of the building, it has a fabulous spiral staircase. The staff are really friendly, you feel at home here.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: It is a very short walk to the metro or buss, we used both easily. There are local shops and we went to a lovely tapas restaurant near by twice.
After about a 30 minute taxi ride from the airport we arrived at Primero Primera. We were instantly impressed, it is in a lovely residential area only minutes walk from shops and restaurants and a 10 minute ride into central Barcelona on the metro, which is very good value. Our room was amazing, lots of space, a sunken bath and a separate rain shower. The breakfast buffet was delicious and changed each day, the coffee fantastic and you can have non alcoholic beverages, coffee and snacks all day included in your stay.
