“Good hotel at the right price”

Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed reasonably convenient hotel. It looks new and clean. Easy access, less than 10 minutes walking, to any major attraction along the Rambla. The surrounding neighborhood may feel inconvenient to some, though we had no problem. Great breakfast. Overall, we recommend that hotel.

“Impressive!”

Great hotel! Use the local restaurants to eat at. They are less than half the cost of those in the more touristy areas. Staff is exceptional.

“Very nice hotel, convenient location”

The good: - Friendly staff who speak good English - Clean room, quality bedding, powerful air conditioning - Bathroom had nice thick towels, heated towel rail, powerful shower, hairdryer, and a little box with the stuff you might forget eg toothbrush, razor - Excellent location. Close to Montjiuic, a few minutes' walk to the marina and to Las Ramblas (although I'm never really impressed by it!), and right on top of Parallel Metro station which gives easy access to Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, the Gothic quarter, and the airport - Plenty of small shops nearby to get a few essentials and a good choice of places to eat The not-so-good: - The gym only had about 4 machines - The pool was very small - The breakfast seems expensive at 15 Euros

Getting around

The T10 ticket for the Metro is great value: 10 journeys for 8.25 Euros.

What to pack

When we visited in late November / early December it was warm and sunny during the day, but the temperature dropped off fairly quickly once the sun set. T-shirt or similar was fine during the day but definitely needed a jumper or jacket at night. It would be a shame to get the Metro everywhere so pack some comfortable shoes for lots of walking!

Must see

The Sagrada Familia has finally been finished inside (although there's another 15 years' of work to complete the remaining spires on the outside) and looks amazing. A wander round Parc Guell is a must, and there's a few other Gaudi buildings if you want to overdose on his work. The magic fountain offers a really impressive music, lights and water display in the evenings, and the view over the city from the castle on Montjuic is spectacular at night.

“Visit Barcelona!”

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Barcelona, and this hotel put us close to all of the action! Could easliy walk to La Rambla and the two hop-on, hop-off bus routes. Room was right on a busy street, Parallel, so a little noisy, but that added to the ambiance. Visit Spain - it was fun!

“Barcelona bargain”

Great location. Metro is right outside the hotel front door. Rooms are beautifully lined in wood.

Sagrada Familia and Park Guell are musts and if u have time visit the Monsaratt monastery

Nice room but view on to central storage area not great . Pool closes in October and work on roof area started very early .
