“A pleasant stay”

A clean, comfortable, modern hotel, with consistently good service. A little out of the center of town, but a ten-minute walk will put you in the thick of things, and twenty or twenty-five minutes can get you to Las Ramblas.

“Barcelona Marina hotel”

The hotel is very good but the view from the window is definitely not as there is a piece of waste ground right outside occupied by homeless people and some of the biggest rats have ever seen! The walk to the Olympic Park is also not just 5 minutes, more like 15 minutes.

Area recommendations
The Rambla has to be seen, but hang on to your bag/wallet.

“Ryan”

Great breakfast! Quiet neighborhood but of course we there in the slow time during August. Clean, comfortable rooms. Good deal if want to use the spa. The pool is small but relaxing. Short metro(subway) rides will keep your walking to a minimum otherwise be prepared to walk.

“Avoid at any cost, no desk and chair provided in room, this is a hostel masquerading as 4* hotel”

I have paid for 4 nights at an 4*hotel, but was ubicated in a hotel room without a writing desk and chair, equivalent to a hostel dromitory.. I could only sit on the bed. When I have complained I was told to wait when a better room will be available. This is a daytime robbery. AVOID AT ANY COST

“Very 'Barcelona' style hotel”

Location was good from everywhere within 5~7 euro taxi cost. Nice and kind staffs. I had two little children and had nice bed for them.

“A very relaxing break”

We stayed for three nights in the hotel Marina Barcelona and were not disappointed! The rooms are a good size and we had no complaints with cleanliness. The multilingual reception staff were very helpful and attentive. The pool area on the roof is nicely designed but it is small and was very busy, perfect for a quick dip but there weren't enough sun beds to go around. However you are only a short walk away from the beach which is lovely with plenty of sun beds and parasols to rent! The metro stop is about 5 mins walk away and takes you into the heart of the city in about 5 mins. We felt very safe walking around the area even though it is in a quiet part of town. Breakfast in the hotel is excellent but expensive, however there are a handful of small cafes close by that offer well priced coffee and breakfast. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Getting there
The aerobus is so simple and cheap! When you come out of the airport you will see several waiting, take it to the end of the line which is Catalunya square and jump on the red metro line to marina. The hotel is a short walk from here! A little guide book is very helpful as it will have a map of the area.

“Highly recommend this hotel!”

I was very impressed with H10 Marina Hotel! Beautiful, clean, and fairly new. The hotel staff were very approachable, friendly and gave good recommendations to us. It was only about 3-4 blocks from the beach, not in a crowded area, but near the metro too. Taxis are very close by and can be called by the reception desk quickly. Very close to Port Olympic and Barceloneta Beach where there is great restaurants, casino, the beach and great night life! Will definitely go back!

Area recommendations
I highly recommend Port Olympic/Barceloneta Beach area. Touristy, but has everything you would enjoy. From shopping, eating, the beach and night life everynight!

“Nothing great”

This hotel was okay for a basic hotel. It was very clean and the rooms were nicely designed. Trouble was the beds were very hard and you could hear all the sounds in the surrounding rooms and hall ways. The staff were not very friendly. The pool area is small and gets alot of wind in the afternoon. It does have several very small local restaurants nearby, but the staff didn't really know about them; you had to search. Located between Las Ramblas and the Marina and you could walk to both, but I would pick another hotel to stay at that was more conveniently located. It's worth the price difference.

Area recommendations
I would stay in the old part of Barcelona if you can find a place. Very interesting and lots to see. Las Ramblas is busy, but if you like the night life, than this area is for you. Don't stay near the airport as the hotels gouge you on meals as there is nothing else nearby. The difference in the cab fare is minimal to stay in town.
Must see
Familia Sagrada and the outdoor food market.

“Nice hotel for relevant money”

The Hotel is nice and modern. Rooms are comfortable with big bathrooms. There is also a little SPA resort in a hotel. A choice of food on a breakfast is pretty impressive, however the breakfast is slightly more expensive than described by Expedia. A surrounding is a modern part of Barcelona – not so nice and picturesque, bat calm. A metro station is 5 minutes of walk. In 10 min one can reach a famous beach - Barcelonetta. An access to Internet trough Wi-Fi is for free in a whole hotel. In general this hotel has a good price/offer balance.

From the airport a taxi. For traveling inside a city - Metro and buses are very well developed and clearly described. Best option is to buy a few days tickets valid for all means of transport.
Must see
La Rambla, a Port, Camp Nou Stadion, Tibidabo mountain (a greatest view for a whole of the Barcelona), Casa Mila, Park Guel, Sagrada Familia, Bari Gothic district for its narrow roads free of cars.
