"It’s a very basic place to stay, but it was more than $50 cheaper than any place else around Edinburgh. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. The staff was very helpful!"

"I've stayed here a few times now, the room and bathroom are very clean, the bed is comfy, and the shower is very good. I can recommend cooks restaurant next door to the nearby Grange Manor. Also the kelpies are a 5 minute walk through the wood at the end of the industrial estate. Also not forgetting the friendly and helpful staff."

"Staff are terrific, the hotel is beautifully presented, with lovely colour themes, decor, design, linen, toiletries, even complimentary champagne on ice when you arrive. I do hope the bedding/mattress topper is changed, the bed is suffocating, it’s far too fluffy! The shower in the bath tub is an accident waiting to happen, and please offer some hair conditioner. Coffee isn’t flash in the rooms, or in the dining room. "

"We received a warm and helpful welcome on arrival, and were kindly informed that there was a wedding taking place at the hotel that evening and that it may be a bit noisy - needless to say we didn't hear a thing! Our room was spacious and clean, beds were comfy and bathroom was spotless. Great view of the grounds and loch. Breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh, and again staff were lovely, same goes for when we checked out. We will definitely stay again as we want to come back and do more in...

"Bad news first: shower didn’t work first day, staff said it was undergoing annual maintenance, surely you do this off peak? After that it was fine. Breakfast room can get filled up very quickly so some people had to wait in hallway for others to finish. Young receptionist said city Centre was 10/15 minutes walk, more like 35/40 but excellent bus service almost outside door and flat rate of £2 for any trip is good value. Staff very friendly, room basic but good value as was car parking charge so...
