Amazing stay in the Cairo Junior Suite.
Nice little touches such as a glass of champagne on arrival.
Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone and will certainly be returning to try out the other suites.
Staying here made our weekend 10x's better.

Located in a quiet street a little bit set off from the main strip of Princes Street, this hotel gives you a great base for your holiday. The petit double rooms are a good size, not too small if you're only staying a few nights. The bathroom in these rooms is compact. As you're in Edinburgh and I hope not intending to stay in the room during your stay the size doesn't matter, if you wanted a giant room that is.
Breakfast is of a great quality, don't expect a workman's size portion on the cooked breakfast, however you do get a good selection on the buffet, though some don't get put out until a little later. The staff all seemed extremely friendly, and happy to offer assistance, especially Rolands who was very friendly and helpful.
We'd definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a brilliant
Location, you couldn't be any more closer to the main city centre- loads of shopping, good
Restaurants and pubs/clubs. Really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was fab but not too generous in providing you with bath towels (One between two)
We liked the hotel! Just that being a 4star hotel you would at least expect a simple box of tissues and some more toiletries. We found the hotel too hot in general even in the bedrooms when you switched off all the radiators. Opened the windows and it's way too noisy. I imagine if you request for a room at the back of the hotel, it might be more quiet. Hate to imagine what's it going to be like in the summer.
I was welcomed well, it was relaxed. superb bed and bath. Hospitality tray great especially the teapot. The hotel was 4mins walk from George street. transport on hand f the feel of the city was there and the food in the hotel great. A couples weekend away a must experience even if I was on my own due to a recent loss of my husband.
Arrived at reception at 9am, spoke to receptionist about early access to the room and about an hour later I was in my room. After flying in from Florida this was appreciated. Tea and coffee making facilities were available although socket box for plugging in was missing. Hotel is being renovated so a few workmen around and a bit messy but this did not impact me. Kitchen provided sandwiches for me after a late night arrival from visiting Oxford. Also had lunch in the coffee lounge, friendly service and good food.
Built in the late 1700s to alleviate overcrowding, New Town has a symmetrical layout with broad streets and Georgian architecture. Visitors will find posh boutiques on George Street and popular pubs on Rose Street. Calton Hill, located on the east end, overlooks the city.
