Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier
4.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (983)
"This is a beautiful hotel with very welcoming staff and excellent rooms! I was staying in a triple room with a balcony, and had a great experience. The room is designed to take advantage of a small space, but my friends and I didn't feel like it was cramped at all. There's also a bakery in the lobby that makes some delicious croissants and other baked goods. My only note would be that the hotel doesn't have many dining options outside and even the closest konbini is a 5 minute walk away....

"We had a really comfortable stay here, the room was spacious for Tokyo, and we didn't feel claustrophobic during the 5 nights we were there. Room and amenities were clean - appreciated that there is a self-service laundry area, and luggage storage at the lobby. The hotel also has some regular programming (eg. geisha and noh theatre performances that we didn't manage to catch), and a tea room that opens daily for guests serving complimentary local snacks and beverages. 8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (522)
"Check-in was difficult. Check in is at a machine that wants Japanese characters and kept changing back to them. Took a long time and staff didn't speak much English. Nice view from room. Uncomfortable pillows, half filled with buckwheat hulls. Woke up with a stiff neck every morning. Breakfast is a fixed menu. No fish and rice, no pickled veg, no eggs and avocado. But curry, quiche and ratatouille on offer. That said, the pancakes and fruit were very good. Constant queue for washing...
