This hotel is excellent value. It is spotlessly clean, the owners and staff are very welcoming, and the rooms are basic but comfortable.
The location on the edge of the historic quarter makes it very well located. Very close to the most attractive and intersting part of Anteqera and surrounded by good places to eat..
If there is a downside its that the plaza is quite noisy at night, mostly traffic noise, street cleaning etc. We stayed for 10 days and found we quickly got used to it.
This is most certainly a 'must visit' hotel. It takes us back to the days of traditional Spanish service: nothing was too much trouble for the staff; the hotel itself is styled in the cool, traditional Andalucian way; and the food was excellent. Although it might be seen as an 'en route' stopover, the fitness and pool facilities are excellent and would offer a wonderfully enjoyable family break.
We will most certainly return!

Our family of four stayed for one night and the location - 5 mins from both train and bus stations - was perfect.
If coming from Malaga, get the bus from.Stop 33 at main bus station, next door to Malaga MZ train station. Fare around 8 Euros and pay the driver. Only a few buses each day - inc one at 1315.
Trains from Seville, etc, to Antequera C station. Don't go to St Anna station which is miles away.
We only saw a little of the town, but it's nice to poke around. The walk up the steps for the view from the castle is well worth the effort.
Hotel was fine for us. Beds not brilliant and few fancy touches, but it was solid and unpretentious like the town itself. Not bad at all.

Quirky, wee hotel, but right in the town centre and excellent value for money. Hotel has free wifi and free use of internet on computers on every floor (if you don't want to be weighed down by your gadgets!!) The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The hotel also has aircon - essential for a hot Antequera summer!
