"Lovely accommodation in the Honeysuckle suite, very quiet and spotlessly clean. All needs catered for and bottles of water and milk for tea and coffee replenished daily. Very friendly professional hosts and the breakfast was delicious. Great location for motorway and central to many interesting parts of North Wales but set off the main road by a long driveway. Would stay again."

"Excellent property for family of 6 adults and two children. Could do with a safety gate to keep little ones safe on the stairs but excellent place to stay. A little noisy in first floor bedroom as the window catch was broken so the window did not shut properly but did not dampen our stay "

"We had a lovely two night stay. We booked only 48hrs before our visit so we had the last available room, which had a wonderful garden view and although it was smaller than we anticipated the fun of watching dozens of garden birds on the many bird feeders outside our door and also seeing tiny shrews playing and jumping in the late evening was wonderful. Breakfast was pre booked and excellent and our hosts happy to help at all times. We would definitely return."

"Because it was a holiday weekend, and it rained, and there were accidents, we were 2 hours late, and one hour after check in. We called, and Ian said "No problem". We walked in and I was apologizing like mad, and Ian just said "You are here now, just relax". I could have hugged him! The house is beautiful, the décor just lovely. "This is our second visit and we loved it. Staff are always so friendly, welcoming and the food is amazing. Breakfast is great! We did the moderate recommended walk after our stay and no issues with us leaving the car. The views were great but it was hard work getting up them hills at some points on uneven ground. The local area is nice, the castle is great and the Dutch pancake house up the road is worth a visit. "

"Lovely old house with large spacious rooms. We stayed 4 nights in Myfanwy which was traditionally decorated and had a very large bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Lovely views from the room and bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Only issues would be the tiny television and absence of a cooked breakfast (it was continental only and and I couldn’t help thinking the pre-Covid choice would have made the stay more special) "

Chester in a nutshell
"Our hotel (The Chester Grosvenor) was stunning and perfectly situated with a grandeur interior that oozes bundles of original features! The staff were welcoming and pleasant and nothing was too much for them. We were treated on arrival to an upgraded room, staying in a junior suite which was perfect in all areas. The City was beautiful with lots to see and do from walking the City wall to walks along the river and gardens with lots of historical points of interest to stop and absorb throughout the City. The shops were quaint and inkeeping with a good variety of choice. The City was clean and well kept and a testament to the people that maintain it. Overall we had a fantastic stay in a fantastic hotel with a beautiful City surrounding it. "
