"Central, ideal for the visit. Welcoming, friendly helpful reception colleagues. Room was great, telly not so much, very limited on the TV channels, not so bad if your off out, but if you’re on your own and spend time in the room Overall excellent, and would stay again. "

"It was for a wedding and we booked to stay. Everything was perfect except, we couldn’t increase the temperature in our room and it was a little cold and there was a patch of carpet stuck down-obviously over a hole which was a little upsetting. The staff throughout the wedding, at reception and at breakfast were efficient and pleasant. Overall a lovely experience. The room/decor for the wedding was stunning, food throughout the day was lovely and check in and check out painless and quick. "

"The room was a little dated, lovely corner bath but the jets weren’t working on it, no shower in the room which would have been handy. Lovely 4 poster bed, but the mattress was way too soft. Restaurant was lovely and the quality of the food was great. We used the spa and the gym the following day, the spa was very modern, great facilities and very clean."

"Just stayed here one night as part of a short visit to the Peak District. The hotel is right in the centre of the beautiful town of Bakewell, so extremely convenient. It’s a beautiful old coaching inn with loads of interesting history. The whole experience was excellent. Lovely room with all the facilities you need and the team in the hotel were fantastic. "Nice and clean and as expected from Holiday Inn. Loved the sauna and steam room, after a long drive that was much needed. There's also a rapid charger on site which is an absolute God-send as that was one less thing to sort out / look for."

"We had a lovely overnight stay on a Sunday evening. The staff were nice and we were given a free upgrade to a Privilege room which was very big and quiet. After a morning swim, I enjoyed a tasty breakfast from the buffet. The only negatives were that the plug in the bathroom didn't work and the decor was a bit tired. However, this is to be expected with older buildings to some degree. There are also beautiful rooms in the old manor such as the library and lots of places to sit in the main...
