I went for 6 nights at the end of OCT 2011and travelled alone . The hotel was clean and the staff very welcoming. I stayed in one of the Apartments on the 4th floor, with full breakfast and dinner, I had a view of the sea and Casino from the balcony. The hotel is two streets away from the baystreet shopping complex (10 min walk) and 5mins walk from the St Julians main shopping area and local bus service. Sielma is about 15 mins away by bus or car, however I chose to walk which took about 30mins,the views of the sea where amazing. I can't wait to go back next year in the summer.

In a quiet area of the lively Maltese town of St Julian’s, this modern style hotel is 500 metres from St Georges’ beach. The …More
I recently stayed at St Julians Bay hotel for 1 week and it was more than I had hoped for. After reading previous reviews I was unsure about my stay. However, for the price, it was in a great location, the reception staff were very helpful in answering any queries, the room was spacious and clean and very close to the bus stops which go to all areas of Malta. The added bonus being a student was that it is a 5 minute walk for Paceville, party central, but far enough away not to be disturbed by noise etc.
I don't know if we were just lucky based on the reviews but if your looking for nothing fancy, just a decent room for a week or two with friends this is great. Our room was big, everything worked fine, the staff were friendly, i cannot seriously think of much against it, just that the bathroom had no lock on (which was not a major problem). The pool area was not that clean and things were closed but then again we went in winter and we did't intend to use it all anyway. Paceville is close and nightlife in the area is amazing and for what we needed this hotel served its purpose really well.

Staff were helpful and efficient.
Although we arrived at 21.35 we were still able to obtain hot food, and, of course drinks.
The apartment was spotless and well appointed and within easy reach of street cafes, bars and restaurants. Close proximity to bus stops - a must for travel in Malta.
Fourth stay in this hotel and will certainly be going back.

First time I visited Malta for a holiday. Sliema was a good location, and the hotel is in the middle of the place. A very good breakfast before visiting so many parts of the island. A good bus location.
We got exactly what we had paid for and expected. The room was dated except for some poorly done renovations in the bathroom. If you want a place to sleep with breakfast: this is the place! The front desk was helpful, and provided us with two drinking glasses when we requested them. The hotel is close to the main square and right on the bus line. It's easy and affordable to take the X3 to and from the airport: only 1.50 euros per day. There are "beach options" within a five minute walk. Malta is not known for sandy beaches, and the swimming areas near the hotel lead directly into the sea from "stone formations." I recommend the Golden Bay Beach which is accessible by bus. It was sandy and beautiful with beach chairs and umbrellas for rent (11 euros for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella.) This budget hotel provided exactly what we needed for a three night stay. FYI: busy nightlife in area which is loud. It may not be good for small children.

The apartment had plenty of space for two or more people. Stunning water views, also had a small kitchenette with a bar fridge. Travelling around Malta was no problem at all as the bus stop is at the front of the building. Cafe down stairs is nice also for a snack. Perfect location with a huge balcony. Very friendly, helpful staff. The room was very clean and I had no issues at all. Plenty of restaurants around as well. i would come back for sure and stay there again.
