"Had a lovely stay, was a drop of the hat booking. Lots of shops if you have forgotten anything. Staff was lovely especially Chris the night porter who couldn't do enough to help. Was biker friendly also due to the weather they let us stay an extra hour. The Breakfast was 2nd to none and breakfast staff where lovely didnt know the lady chef but she was very helpful and kept me loaded with coffee" she knows who she ls! "Shame there was no chef! Had to get taxis to get food, otherwise the staff were amazing, felt sorry for them as think it was down to poor management (the lack of food)"

"Incredible!! Loved everything about our stay in this historic hotel. The reception staff was unparalleled- so warm and friendly and helpful with local tips (thank you Andrea & Tim!!). The rooms were comfortable and clean and well stocked with what we needed for our overnight stay. Only regret is that we weren’t there longer!! The house restaurant menu looked great and the prices were very competitive. Just no time to actually try it. Maybe another time. "

"Checked in fairly late, receptionist was friendly and polite. Hotel was very quiet. Room was comfortable and clean although the shower tray had someone else's hair still around it and was not very clean. Bathroom was a good size with and nicely done. Decent sized shower cubicle but the water was far too hot and took ages to get it to cool down, the shower rail was very wobbly and falling off the wall. The beds were nice and comfortable and black out curtains were good. The breakfast was average...

"We had a lovely stay , we did have a problem with our room the first night , due to a loud humming noise , that kept us awake most off the night , but when we told staff in following morning they apologized and moved us and upgraded us to Premier room , we slept really well after then , the food was very good and the staff very helpful and kind "
