“Surprisingly Nice Hotel for and Affordable Price in Bath”
The staff were excellent, very friendly and hospitable. The room was lovely and although the city center of Bath was a short walk away I would not have traded hotels. I would suggest The Holiday Inn Express to anyone who wants to experience Bath while being money-conscious.
“Well located hotel for Bath shopping”
This is a basic hotel without restaurant facilities. However this does not detract from the excellent service the staff offered - both very professional and welcoming. The car park charge per day of £4 is minor compared with parking in Bath - and an easy walk to shops and restaurants.
“Excellent”
Excellent hotel, close to centre of Bath. Staff were very friendly and helpful - when we asked for extra pillows, they were fetched immediately for us. Only problem we encountered was the noisy air conditioning unit in the room which kept switching itself on and as it was on a central sensor, there was no way we could override it to switch it off.
“Excellent value”
We spent 2 nights and have no criticisms at all. Quiet room, comfy bed, decor fine. Good range of breakfast choices. Friendly, competent staff. Yes, parking costs £4.50 per night but breakfast more than covers that. Short (10 min. max.) walk into town center. Only have positive things to say!
“Comfortable Hotel”
I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. Service was responsive and I had no issues. I do have to comment on the breakfast a bit. This is a help yourself buffet with limited choice but in the main is fine. However, scrambled eggs and sausages are the only hot choice. Sausages were fine but the scrambled eggs a re probably made from powdered eggs and taste like it. There is no restaurant in the hotel for evenings and it is a 15 minute walk to the town so is a pretty good stretch. There are a number of cafes on the way along with an indian restaurant. There are pubs in the immediate vicinity of the hotel but they didn't look like my sort of place.
“Great location and service!”
Very impressed with the hotel. Got more than what I paid for. Booked 2 adults/2 children and they already had the sofa bed made out with linens and pillows. Breakfast was good with sausage, eggs and beans along with muffins and other breads. Be aware of the parking as it fills fast and you do have to pay 6.50 for parking. You are allowed to park until 4pm the next day though. About a 10 minute walk to the Bath house from hotel.
“defo stay there again”
excellent hotel, staff really helpful, good location ,10 min walk to the centre-easy.
“A very elegent weekend break in Bath”
The hotel was very conveniently situated, a very easy 10 minutes walk from the centre (and also very near a Sainsburys). As the hotel also had an ice machine and a microwave that was very useful. The staff were really lovely and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble and as they were quite young I am sure they will have a great career in hospitality ahead of them. The hotel itself was clean and fresh and modern and they serve a great breakfast so it was very good value for money, especially as we could park the car there for £3 per night. Bath itself is a great place for a weekend break, i would recommend the spa old and new package - the Roman Baths of course are really interesting, afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms is just wonderful and the new Thermae Spa is a great place to spend Sunday morning - the roof top pool is FABULOUS!
“Great hotel!”
Great experience. I would also highly recommend the restaurant across the hotel (The Little Lime Lounge) for lunch and dinner.
“A definite for the odd weekend”
excellent value ,good location, within walking distance of the city, will use it again
