"I was expecting basic, no tea or coffee facilities, no hairdryer in the room (you can loan one from reception) but no toothbrush cup in the bathroom? One solitary towel? No wardrobe, just some coat hooks? Very sparse indeed. One the bright side, the fan was loud enough to double as a white noise machine! Everything was clean and new, which was a plus and the staff were very helpful. "

"The phrase, it does what it says on the tin, springs to mind. It is a clean basic bed for the night, during an extended journey. It was quiet with the windows shut but inevitably you can hear the motorway with them open, which might be an issue in the summer, if your room is at the front."

"Room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. Hotel was an easy 8 min walk from the bus station, 5-10 min walk to places to eat & see, and 13 min walk to the car rental company. "Really convenient for walking into Oxford, not far from the river. Abingdon road is busy but the double glazing is really effective (we were at the front of the house). Super-clean, friendly staff - thank you!"

"Cheapest place to stay in Oxford, I only really needed a hotel to get ready in and sleep. The initial room they tried to give us was in a different building, and it was literally just a bedroom in someone’s grotty house - stank of smoke and not safe! Do not book the room with the shared bathroom. The room we moved to was acceptable given the cost (albeit incredibly dated and dirty), but that is about it."

The procedure for accessing the building and the room (once you are present on the site of the hotel) was clear.
