"First impressions were spoilt be the pot holes in the driveway leading to the car park and the reception area just being a computer situated on the end of the bar. Room was clean and bed very comfy. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Considering the price paid, overall I would give the hotel a score of 7 out of 10"

"The turf hotel was lovely, our room view was of the street which had a park over the road, the staff were friendly, hubby's only little grumble was the shower is a bit small and brekkie could of been a bit more, I enjoyed it and would recommend "

"Great having private access to the rooms, however the stairs are very steep. The room had everything I needed for my short stay but it does feel a little unloved. I will be back."

"We were initially given a room on the first floor, but on returning after going for a meal, we were asked to move, to a room on the ground floor. After five minutes we were asked to move again to the first floor, next to our original room!. The receptionist was very apologetic. We think the bathroom needs updating, it has a shower over the bath, but no hand rails, so getting in and out, can be difficult, as there is nothing to hold on to."

"We stayed in room5 top floor 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a sofa bed for 1. Bedding and towels were new and fresh. Bathrooms were spotless. Small fridge, kettle , toaster and microwave all look new . Coffee /tea complimentary. TV in lounge . We were visiting family so needed somewhere local and pet friendly. "When I arrived there was no one to show me to my room. I phoned the number on my booking but they could not find any record of me having booked with the itinerary number I was given. They gave me another number to call, eventually they found the booking and said ‘the man is coming’. This turned out to be a maintenance man who was very unwell (flu I presume). He showed me a double room but the toilet was broken, a sign in the door saying do not use. I asked for an alternative room with a working...

"Initially, there was some ambiguity about the check in, however as soon as I contacted the service provider, the manager arrived at the property in person and solved the issue. I didn't expect that prompt and kind reaction in response to my problem. I'm sure their business will flourish swiftly as they have put their customers' satisfaction at the centre of it. They are caring and fair and I wish them prosperous years a head."
