How to Do Spring Break in Las Vegas
“For most people, Spring Break is synonymous with non-stop partying. And where better to celebrate a break from the school year than the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas? It’s got everything you need to blow off steam: lots of resorts with epic pool parties, a consistently great nightlife and a plethora of activities to keep you busy during the day. Here’s our guide on how to do Spring Break in Las Vegas – and yes, families are invited too.
Where to Stay in Las Vegas for Spring Break
——————————————-
When planning a Las Vegas Spring Break, where you stay can make all the difference. Vegas has more accommodation than the average city, so you can take your pick from luxury hotels, cheap-but-cheerful resorts and quirky off-Strip motels.
For all-out glam parties, a number of hotels on the Strip offer Spring Break specials. And because many come with their own nightclubs, you don’t have to venture far to have a good time (makes it all the easier to get back to your room). Think The MGM Grand, the Cosmopolitan, the Mirage and Mandalay Bay. They all have huge pool complexes too.
Off the Strip but no less exciting, Palms Resort has more pools in its 73,000 sq ft dayclub than anywhere else in the country. It’s legendary for its day and night pool parties, hosting international DJs at the Kaos club.

Where to Party During Spring Break
—————————————–
Spring Break in Las Vegas is all about the pool parties. By March, the blazing desert sun has already warmed the city to a pool-friendly degree – and waterside DJs, swim-up bars and bikini lounges are the name of the game at every hour of the day.
Daylight, a daytime pool club at Mandalay Bay, is legendary – the pool backs onto a stage where big-name DJs and hip hop artists keep things pumping. In Sin City, there are plenty of destinations for adults to let their hair down. The Bare Pool Lounge at the Mirage and the European Pool at the Artisan Boutique Hotel are classy but clothing-optional lounges.
Vegas is stacked with nightclubs. Hakkasan at the MGM Grand is an immersive club with dozens of dance floors, mezzanines and hidden nooks. Huge-name DJs like Calvin Harris perform regularly here. Elsewhere, 1 OAK at the Mirage aims to bring a sophisticated New York-style atmosphere to Vegas and pulls in celebrity and fashion-industry crowds.

——————————————–
Even the hardiest partiers may wish to press pause on the free-flowing cocktails at some point. Blow the cobwebs off with a day trip to the Grand Canyon – Canyon Tours offer long-day coach tours as well as helicopter trips.
Elsewhere, taking in a show or concert, such as Cirque du Soleil, a comedy act or headliner, is a great way to enjoy a night out without the need to go clubbing.
And if you’re not feeling to party-delicate, there are adrenalin hits to be had, rollercoasters like the Big Apple Coaster and the X-Scream, as well as the world’s tallest observation wheel, the High Roller, which offers amazing views of the Strip.

Saving Money During Spring Break
—————————————
For a budget-friendly Spring Break in Las Vegas, look for hotel package deals that include meal and party plans. The Tropicana is a perennially inexpensive Vegas hotel that still pulls off a party vibe with its poolside gaming tables and tremendously affordable drinks specials.
Don’t be fooled into thinking that a buffet represents the best value for money when it comes to food either: check if your hotel offers dining packages, and opt instead for wallet-friendly options, such as the deli counters and hot dogs stands at Village Street Eateries in New York-New York (a hotel and casino, just in case you’re confused).
Las Vegas Spring Break for Families
——————————————
For a family-friendly trip to Las Vegas, a hotel like the Red Rock is a good choice. It has a state-of-the-art activity space for kids, a dedicated family arcade, a bowling alley and a huge menu of outdoors activities like horse riding and hiking.
There are plenty of daytime activities to sign your kids for in Las Vegas too. Walk through the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay, take a Venetian gondola ride, see the musical fountain show in front of the Bellagio and explore the Marvel universe inside the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., an interactive superhero museum where kids can become a Marvel agent.
