(791 reviews) The junior wellness suite was absolutely everything we could have wished for . Beautiful view and well equipped. The hotel was spotless and staff worked endlessly to keep it looking super tropical and inviting. The ambience of the entire site was one of relaxation , calm and happiness. The water sports facilities were amazing and included in our stay. We tried everything! Food exceptional with great variety. Every single member of the Lux team was kind, attentive and could not do enough for us. Stand outs were Kevin in the Palm Court dining and bar area. On the adult beach we were super well looked after by Saif and Anch. These two were friendly, kind and very helpful. They gave us lots of information about Mauritius and kept us well stocked with drinks and towels. They truly stood out as exceptional with their natural ability in customer services . Thank you both. Taxis were easy and we did a tour of the island which showed us lots of points of interest around this beautiful and interesting island. It truly was paradise . (277 reviews) We had a beachfront room with ocean view which was lovely. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Lovely views. Food was fabulous, plenty of choice and great quality. Plenty of sunbeds to choose from at the pool and on the beach, never any shortage. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful and the service was generally very efficient. There were a few minor niggles. The online check in process didn't work smoothly. It was not clear whether the passport upload had worked or not. Nevertheless we were still able to check in early and our room was ready well ahead of the official check in time. We were astonished to find that our all inclusive package did not include any sparking wines at all, even though it did include about 30-40 different wines. However a chat with the Bar manager soon resolved this positively which we appreciated very much. However, getting a glass of the sparkling wine was a bit of a faf, always having to ask the sommelier who then had to fetch it from the locked wine room!! Another slight niggle was always having to ask the staff in the beach bar for the umbrellas by the pool to be opened (they were large and required a special handle which was kept by the staff) and often there was some delay because they were serving - it would have been better for them to be put up automatically first thing in the morning rather than waiting for someone to ask every time.
