(515 reviews) I have only good things to say about this hotel. The location was perfect, with just a 10 minute walk to the train station. It was close to the river and great walking distance to the city centre and local attractions. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The included breakfast buffet was excellent, there was a large choice of sweet and savoury options, plus 6 made to order items such as pancakes, omelettes and more. The room itself was spacious, clean and modern. The amenities were excellent such as the mini bar and coffee maker. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was clean, with a good selection of toiletries and a nice rain shower. The only minor negative for me and this is personal preference only, was the temperature of the room (it was too warm) you could not adjust this and the only thing the staff could do was turn the heating off, they were not permitted to turn on the air conditioning due to city restrictions. Overall, a pleasant two night stay, I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay again if I ever came back to Florence. (1,002 reviews) When I first stepped into the entrance, I thought I’d made a mistake. The old elevator had me nervous. But once I got to my room, I realized this was a gem. This little boutique stay was literally steps from the Duomo, I could practically count them. The neighborhood was lively and full of landmarks, yet I felt right at home. The owner, a true Florentine, was incredibly kind and welcoming, he even gave me an extra hour for checkout because my train was later. The staff was lovely, especially Atta, who helped me every morning with the breakfast items I could enjoy. There’s the most wonderful view from the lobby balcony, but I won’t spoil the surprise for anyone. This isn’t a luxury hotel, think charming and quaint, with thoughtful details and a window overlooking the streets and cafés below. The view of Florence was the real star. It felt so wonderfully European, a unique, warm experience I’ll remember.
