Latvia Romantic Holidays

The accommodations were in a historic building in Old Town, steps from the House of Black Heads. The breakfast buffet was okay. We could hear water moving through pipes from our room on the second floor. Nearby bells rang for 5 minutes beginning at 7:55 on a Monday morning.

Great hotel in Old Town

The staff were fabulous and the highlight of this hotel, beautiful historic property in a great location Bed was comfortable, breakfast had great and plentiful options. Washroom was horrible. Shower /bathtub was so thin a hairbrush barely fits in the width of it at the front. Had to shower sideways. Handheld clip broken so needed to lay it on the floor of the tub to wash then pick it up after. Large faucet/handheld/rainfall shower head multifunction controls confusing to use.

We’ve been staying at Begs Hotel for the fifth time over the past 2 years, with each stay lasting at least a week. Previously, we were given a good-sized room with three wardrobes, giving enough storage space for 2 people staying for a week. The rooms we had previously stayed in had also been recently renovated. This time, however, we were given a smaller room with only 1 wardrobe, and it hadn’t seem to be renovated. As we were staying for a week again, having enough storage space was crucial to us, and based on our previous experiences, it was reasonable to expect a similar room. I spoke to a member of staff, explained that we were staying for a week and simply couldn’t fit all our clothes into 1 wardrobe, and asked whether it would be possible to change rooms. She told me there were no rooms available for the entire week, so it was a no. It’s important to note that the hotel wasn’t fully occupied at the time, so they could still have moved us to a different room. This was particularly disappointing, considering that many of their studio rooms are larger, so we were just ‘lucky’ enough to get a smaller one. Also, our room was located next to a service lift, and we could hear the noise of trolleys in the mornings. We had experienced issues with the cleaning during our stay in July, but we still decided to give it another chance, hoping that it had been a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, this time we’ve realised that loyal guests are not particularly valued by the hotel.

The breakfast was excellent.I like kids menu Its new. Also, staff was so friendly and answers all asking questions I highly recommend this hotel for relaxing things and great service
