The fire crackers on the beach nightly were very loud,unwanted. There’s signs on the beach saying they are illegal, no ones to enforce them. When people get injured the hotels will wake up. The location and gardens were spectacular.

We had a wonderful stay at The Balé. What really sets it apart from the larger resorts is the exceptional personalised service. The team genuinely gets to know you and is always one step ahead. Their help with transport, reservations and local arrangements made everything so easy. We loved the spacious villa and private pool, delicious breakfasts and great coffee. A peaceful, personal experience that made our stay feel very special.

I stayed at Royal Kamuela Aug 9-13 in villa 10 and then villa 4. There was a minor issue with my initial villa and the front desk staff quickly arranged my move. I can't say enough about the attentiveness and exemplary staff at this hotel. Possibly the best hotel experience I've had? The location is excellent. Lots of small shops, convenience stores and restaurants right outside the hotel. Easy walk to central Ubud (art market) Best nasi goreng I've ever had at the hotel's restaurant. The daily breakfast fruit plate is wonderful! If you're considering this hotel, just book it. You won't be disappointed. You can arrange activities with the front desk staff. Last minute, I arranged for a private car to take me to Jimbaran Bay and I had a wonderful seafood dinner on the beach at sunset. I can't wait to go back. Congrats to the staff and management at Royal Kamuela for a job well done.

Breakfast was really great and in fact we had dinner as well ! Food and service were excellent. very good spa with great people for massage. I also enjoyed a nice Yoga session in the stunning terrace overlooking the jungle.

Our room was fantastic with a view of the jungle. The breakfast was amazing - I got so overwhelmed with the choices. They have balinese dance which is great because it's included. They offered a welcome drink and their staff was super accomodating. They helped us when my husband got sick and really went above and beyond. Highly recommended!!!!!
