Western Iceland Romantic Holidays

Room was clean, basic but big and clean, Lobby was nice and staff was helpful, parking was easy and location was solid. My only issue is I understand it’s Iceland and air conditioning isn’t necessary, but a large room with 3 adults is not going to be cooled by cracking 1 window open lol, the room had 5 very large windows but you’re only allowed to vent at the top 1 of the windows about 15% open, imagine being in a car with 3 adults no ac on and you can only open 1 window 10% open, lol. Call me American I don’t care it was warm in September lol. But overall it’s a nice hotel, maybe if it was 10 degrees warmer I would’ve bought a fan lol.

Absolutely great. The pictures don’t do the property justice. Very spacious, spotless clean, totally fell in love with the floors. The sauna and tub were spectacular, got some amazing aurora views while relaxing in both. The neighborhood was great, with multiple stores like Bónus just a few minutes away. The owner was super friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

It was definitely a luxury experience unlike most stays I've ever done, 10/10 no notes on the hotel itself, the staff and amenities were bespoke. Breakfast was custom made to my liking and brought on a cart in the morning at a time of my choosing. Unbelievably good food and the lady working the desk was very charming. Word of caution, however: it is the highest up apartment in the entire city, maybe the entire country and the hotel is limited to the private access top floor of a new skyscraper of mostly corporate offices. At night, it was likely that my (city facing/partial ocean view) hotel room was the only one lit up in the tower and since the walls --including the bathroom-- are all glass, everything inside rather stands out and there no real privacy without curtains drawn. At some point, shortly after returning back at around midnight, someone somewhere in the city who noticed my arrival to the hotel room started blasting the apartment with a high powered laser pointer until I closed the curtains. That aside, it was a remarkably nice stay, the only concern is that its wildly ostentatious for better or for worse and maybe the locals aren't too pleased with that haha. I would stay here again.

lovely facilities. The restaurant within the hotel is also really good to grab lunch or dinner. Breakfast is included and has a pretty good spread. The restaurant is a tiny bit shortstaffed so expect to wait a little bit but otherwise nothing to complain about the grounds are beautiful. The beds are well made, and lots of horses roaming around.

Great room and wonderful staff.

We loved this retreat, it was the last leg of our trip and it was neat to be able to stay in a turf house. Everything there was made locally in Iceland you can tell the owners put a lot of thought in it and the private soak tub for each house was lovely. We got to see the northern lights the service was excellent and the house had a full kitchen and dining table to eat.

Staff was very helpful. We had trouble locking our balcony door and the front desk came up to assist. We stayed in the Pearl room. We didn't realize our balcony was a shared balcony with another room and the common space shared amongst the suites. There were no issues, but would have been nice to know before hand. Overall the room was very clean, very nice, and we enjoyed our stay for 1 night.

The location is perfect, walkable to all attractions and public transportation. Highly recommend the breakfast package if you are able to, it is worth it considering how much restaurants in Iceland cost.
