The room was really nice, the bed was really comfortable and had a big window that we were able to watch the Northern Lights from - the only downside is the door is old and very loud to open/close which can be disruptive if travelling with a partner who wants to sleep and you want to go outside. "We loved our stay at the Sunset Cottage! It was one of our favorite places we stayed during our 10 days in Iceland. The cottage itself is located over a hill, several hundred meters away from the main buildings, and provides s lot of privacy. It was quiet and clean with wide open views of the countryside. We had breakfast on our last day \~$21USD/person), and it was great. We also ate at the restaurant onsite for several dinners so that we could enjoy the lovely waterfall view and delicious food....

"Absolutely love this cabin! It's warm, cosy and situated in the most perfect surroundings, away from the roads & no neighbours in sight. It has 360 undisturbed views, we sat in awe watching sunsets there every night. The cabin has everything you need, beds are clean & comfy, all rooms are well ventilated. "The hotel itself was really good. It was in the city center, within walking distance of most landmarks, and if not, there was really good public transport. The hotel was clean. The view from the window was amazing (I guess it depends on the side of the room, but ours was perfect), and it was really quiet despite a lot of guests. The staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast could have been a little bit better for a 4-star hotel, but really, I can't complain. Despite limited variety, it was good and tasty. The mattress was a little bit hard for me, but I understand all people have different preferences, so you can't please everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay."

"Got to be honest, I booked this hotel after seeing the photo of their cakes... they did not disappoint! But it proved an inspired choice... a real gem of a hotel. Perfectly located for shopping and bus stop 9 for tours. Lovely hotel... great breakfast and really good restaurant with excellent food. Room a little small but not an issue as we spent so little time in it. Clean with good facilities. Excellent value for money."
