Hotel is frozen in 90’s. A/C was not working properly, bathtub was not in a good state (rusty/permanent stains etc). No housekeeping in the afternoon as the come in the morning only. No bellboy in the facilities (the receptionist helped us by calling a staff from the bar. No beach towels (you need to deposit 10 euro per towel to get it)...Food was below average, we didnt eat there at all. Overall not value for money. Airbnb can be a better alternative. Positives: pet friendly, staff is trying their best and top service. Easy access to the beach. Good mix of customer profile (old people, families with kids, young people). Location is not touristic so you can really relax and chill. Internet was good. Good food alternatives around. Nice and cozy neighborhood.

Fantastic views with friendly staff, beautiful room, surroundings, and the chef at the restaurant made delicious food.

My stay at Kinsterna left me with mixed emotions. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pool area was beautiful and the breakfast was the highlight - an abundance of choice using fresh and local/their own produce - honey and marmalade were insanely good. Also, really liked that you could explore the grounds, their olive groves and vineyards and meet the lovely farm animals. However, there are a few negatives that have affected our experience. We arrived late due to our late flight - the hotel were informed in advance. Understandably due to our late arrival and it being dark the staff just took us to our room and didn’t offer us a tour of the grounds or a welcome drink. So we went to the reception in the morning but the female receptionist wasn’t overly welcoming and didn’t offer us anything - no information or a guided tour. We even had to ask where the breakfast was served. I expect more welcoming and helpful receptionists at a 5 star hotel, so a very disappointing start to our stay. Secondly we paid for an upgrade to one of the Byzantium rooms. Again this didn’t meet our expectations. I understand this is the historic part of the grounds but the room was very dark and very damp and the furniture felt very basic. There was even a dehumidifier on at all times and you you couldn’t use the cupboards as they smelt damp. Not an experience I was expecting of a 5star hotel. It is a lovely hotel but I wouldn’t say it matches the experience of other 5 star hotels.

This exceeded ALL expectations! A must stay. The owners are not only attentive but also wonderful, friendly people. Food was unparalleled and the rooms very well appointed.

Great location we always stay at Amfitrion on our summer visits to Nafplio! Great location , access to NP pool and great views to Bourzi!!!
