Ischia and Procida Islands Romantic Holidays

This is an incredible hotel in a beautiful part of Ponte Ischia, highly recommend. The hotel itself is very charming with Mediterranean decor. We arrived at 10am from the ferry and our room was ready, and they upgraded us to a room with a balcony (which was very helpful to drive swimsuits and clothes in the heatwave). The breakfast was incredible; huge variety of options, everything very fresh, and they make any type of coffee you want for you (including iced coffee). The location is also beautiful with it being located directly on the beach with its own beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach club service (we were able to order food and drinks ,which were all delicious). My only con to this hotel is that the beach neighbors a few other hotels and that the beach area belonging to the hotel isn't closed off, so there are multiple children and families playing in the water and running around the lounge chairs during the day, which feels less private and more of a public beach setting -- that's my only feedback that I wish the hotel could implement for a more relaxing stay on the beach.

The assistance from the staff in this hotel was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful stay with our 2 teenage kids. The spa facilities were wonderful

Yes the rooms are small but the bathrooms are fine, there is air conditioning but, more importantly, a great thermal pool area with sauna and cold plunge AND perhaps most importantly, free access to beach loungers and umbrellasonly four minute walk away.’ Simply put…if you don’t want to pay for beach chairs and umbrellas, don’t want to battle crowds to get said chairs and umbrellas, and don’t want to pay $$$ to experience a thermal pool (both indoors and outdoors) this is your place!

The moment you arrive, you're met with two long flights of stairs and no assistance from staff. After taking a flight, ferry, and taxi to reach the hotel, having to carry all of our luggage down the stairs immediately set the tone. For a 4-star hotel, I expected much better service. As many other reviews have stated, the view is beautiful, but unfortunately that's where most of the positives end. The restaurant was just okay, and breakfast was very basic for a hotel at this price point. Staff was average, and we had to ask multiple times for a crib for our baby. No one offered assistance with our luggage. The amenities were also disappointing. Concrete around the pool was peeling, and the pool was extremely deep throughout much of it, making it difficult to simply stand and relax. The biggest issue was cleanliness and maintenance. Numerous things in our room were broken, dirty, moldy, leaking, or poorly maintained. The bathtub was gross, the AC didn't work properly, and the shower panel leaked water everywhere. The property has tremendous potential because of the beautiful views, but the hotel itself needs a major renovation and much better upkeep. For the price and a property advertised as 4-star, we expected significantly better.
