The property is superb and the place was spotless surrounded by beautiful countryside. The only issue was the breakfast, obviously there were no staff to serve at breakfast so it was a bit every man for himself, the food and drink is all laid out the night before so first up is best dressed. By the time we got down, 9.00 am there was no fruit or yoghurt left and a tiny bit of butter to go with the stale bread and pastries. I think a lot of people are basically pigs at a buffet and very rarely think of other people. Couldn’t fault the hotel but maybe a different way of serving up breakfast.

Very helpful staff, early checkin was possible and the room was amazing in that it was quirky and different but also a high standard, comfortable and clean. Filtered water was on every floor, well kitted out gym although we didn't get chance to use it. Breakfast was fantastic, quick service and the bar staff where very helpful The hotel is located very central in Manchester so super convenient for anything, there was a little noise from ironically the hotel outside bar in the afternoon but that was turned off around 10 and then it was very peaceful.

Room was ok .. shower great .. bed comfy 10 mins walk into York central.. parking costs ok but not sure it should be an additional cost for the booking.. air con is only portable on ground floor so needed ventilation hose out of the window which is not very secure on ground floor on roadside! Staff done their best but needs a few upgrades and booking should identify that before reservation

We arrived quite early and although the check in was 4pm our room was ready so we were able to get in very early and quickly. The staff were all helpful and friendly throughout. The large room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The bar and restaurant had seating areas overlooking the canal and another with a terrace at the front. We were only there for one night but would be very happy to go again if we visit Skipton. The location was good and also only a few minutes drive from the town centre.

Dumbleton Hall has undergone a huge multi-million pound refurbishment, and it shows. The finish combines beautiful finishes, sumptuous fabrics and age-worn character features which have been tastefully restored. The staff were all extremely polite and attentive, with the exception of one evening when we were left waiting to order drinks. The drinks were delivered and by way of an apology they were on the house. Things happen in any business but I do feel it's how these things are handled which matter. The bedroom we stayed in was very comfortable but we were surprised there was no mirror in the bedroom at all. I would've liked to have sat down in the room to get ready for the evening but had to use the bathroom, which is probably just an oversight and hopefully will be rectified. The addition of spa facilities would be welcome and befitting of such a gorgeous location. It is a bit off the beaten track and I'm sure a spa would only add to the appeal, along with offering weddings as it is ideal for that too. We will be back.

Lovely staff. Very helpful. Room very clean. Sufficient shower, but no shower gel provided. Luckily had a bottle in the wash bag. Parking not great. Had to leave over the kerb as was blocked in by delivery lorry. No real dramas, but more secure parking preferred. Didn’t really hear any noise from downstairs. Overall, for the price, v satisfied

Stunning surrounding scenery. Clean room with bare necessities supplied. Free Wi-Fi. Studio apartment not as new & fresh as advertised. Be aware of electricity charge at end of stay, bins
