Food was very good, view from hotel bedroom with river view was stunning.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in the new side of the property. Overall everyone was lovely , my only knock on the staff was they didn’t inform us that check in was in the other building. We were waiting for our room to be ready in the main building

The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Food was good with a quant bar and friendly Inn staff. The Inn is close to the road and you can sometimes get road noise in the front rooms. Be advised, when the Inn closes at 10PM, the staff goes home and leaves you with a telephone number to call in case of emergency.

We had a nice stay here but it was far from 5 stars. Rooms looked tired and lacked attention to detail. Dusty surfaces, mould in bathroom, scuffed/chipped woodwork. The tv was very basic and didnt have any apps - we stay in cheaper places that at least allow us to stream our apps to the tv. The pool was nice but again not the cleanest. No one mans the pool so you have children jumping in and splashing you as well as children in the jacuzzi when signs say no one under 16. Breakfast was fine but again lacked that 5 star feel. Portions from the menu are very small and service was slow. We were looking forward to the sports bar as we love a bit of darts but the dart board wasnt working/ one of the darts was broken. Also no one was manning the sports bar on a Thursday night which we thought was poor. You had to go to the other bar to get a drink which cost us £30 for a pint and a rum/soda. Anyone in the hotel we spoke to was very nice however you could tell that some staff were a bit green/struggling. If youre just in St Andrews for the golf/location you’ll probably enjoy but if youre looking for a quiet romantic bougie getaway this isnt the place.

Great stay, upgrade on arrival to a lovely large ground floor room with patio area. Some stains on mattress topper and pillows not to my preference but didn’t affect the stay. Breakfast was ok
