This is the 3rd time we stayed in Hotel G Kelawai, this is a very good hotel. Nice location with staff that provides excellent services, especially Front Desk staff, Lee Wei and Spoon Cafe staff, Puvan, Duta & Lestin. We will continue to stay there whenever we go to Penang again.

The Danna is a small(ish) hotel that trades on its beachfront location and luxurious rooms. We were very happy there during our five night stay. Each of the three restaurants offers decent food and generous portions. The pool area is comfortable, although some maintenance may be required soon. All the staff are lovely. It’s a fine place either to do nothing or to go birdwatching or kayaking. Given the quality of the product the price is more than reasonable. My only criticism is that there needs to be a separate pool area for kids - otherwise the adults who just want to relax will find their day disrupted.

When we arrived at Ambong - we were completely lost for words, the view, the attention to detail and the overall warmth and service from the team were better than 10/10. We’ve stayed all over LANGKAWI across different 5* hotels and Ambong wins hands down for the service and cleanliness of the rooms. In particular, we want to thank Nizal and Shaffy for coming to drive us up to our room and always with a smile! The breakfast and restaurant are amazing. Great quality and extensive! We had the meat breakfast at Rimba (Ambong Pool Villas restaurant) which has incredible views over the water and is perfect for sunset dinner and drinks but also really loved the vegan breakfast at the rainforest restaurant … maybe even MORE! (Thank you Nizal for the recommendation). The dusky monkeys are such a wonderful treat, waking up and watching them from our bedroom window was so special. The room was always made up perfectly, and their turndown service was really appreciated as they made the room perfect to retreat to after a long day of exploring the island. A few practical bits to note - the pool area is quite shaded due to the rainforest around which is perfect in the heat, but it could have been spruced up a little in the morning. The room was very high up into the mountain which was perfect for the views, but it does mean you must rely on their shuttle service - although we enjoyed a few walks up and down for our health!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Berjaya Langkawi Resort. Everything was excellent from start to finish! The resort is set in a stunning location, surrounded by beautiful rainforest and gorgeous beaches, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and well maintained, and the whole resort had such a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. The staff were exceptional – always friendly, welcoming and attentive, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was fantastic, the facilities were excellent, and the overall service was first class. We genuinely couldn’t fault a thing. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Breakfast was horrible due to the chefs cooking. All local dishes were a let down. Not authentic enough and taste awfull. I just had a toast and coffee and left. Recommended: Book without breakfast. Rooms are cheap @ Rm 150.00 a night for Single Occupancy. Location: Average. Front entrance faces a Public road parking stalls and it is Always Full, so day and night cars are always parked there. That makes checking-In a big chalkenge for guest esp when they come in Tour Buses. Hotel building is really dated and needs LOTS of repairs including food trays and equipment. You can see some handles on the food heating equipment is broken. My room light bulbs burnt out and a few tubes needed replacing. Had to request the following all the time:- soap, tooth brush and toilet paper. Not recommended to stay in this hotel BUT if you MUST, just book for ONE or TWO nights the most.

Everything is good
