Alsace-Lorraine Kid friendly Holidays

Lovely hotel with absolutely amazing staff! We stayed for three nights and then returned for an additional night before our flight home, which really says how much we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was lovely, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and we also used the spa, which was wonderful. Our only little niggle was on our final night, when there appeared to be some sort of rodent in the roof. Unfortunately, the noise kept us awake for quite a bit of the night, so we didn’t sleep particularly well. The staff did offer to move us to another room, which we really appreciated, but as it was already around midnight and we had to be up at 4am for our flight, unfortunately moving rooms at that point wasn't really practical. I'm sure this is something the hotel will address quickly, and it certainly didn't detract from what was otherwise a wonderful stay. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend the hotel.

The least I expect from any hotel is to be able to control the room temperature. I followed the instructions on the thermostat as I wanted the room to be more comfortable and not so cold. I then went to bed expecting it to work, it did nothing to increase the temperature and I was cold most of the night. I did not call reception as I did not want someone coming to the room at that time. Next day I was told the hotel heating was OFF and offered a fan heater. This is not acceptable let alone from a supposedly 5 - star hotel. I asked for a room rate reduction and got NOTHING. Needless to say I will not be returning. Other bad points - 35 Euro breakfast must be the most expensive ever (I did NOT try it) - so for two that's 70 Euros. I had a good 2 course evening meal for about the same price (NOT in the hotel of course). The Jacuzzi was only just warm enough and so not really as expected. The staff were helpful in other respects but they need to get the basics rights. Location is good although if using Uber you have to walk the last part with your luggage.

Staff were extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. Nice atmosphere and good location. I was able to walk to all the main attractions. Just excellent.

The property was conveniently located to visit Colmar and the Alsace villages. The rooms all have air-conditioning although the weather was not too warm when we visited. The indoor pool was a plus for my little one and the sauna for me and my wife after a whole day of sightseeing.
