The hotel had an” end of term “ feeling . Our room was not cleaned in three days despite leaving a request for it to be. Also our TV was faulty and we had to ask an unrelated member of staff for help .. - he kindly obliged. Our room was almost unbearably warm and we needed to leave the windows open. It’s in a lovely position and some members of staff were friendly but overall slightly disappointing.

Clean rooms, spacious enough for two for a weekend/long weekend. Easy access to Southampton City centre on the No1 bus, which runs right past the front door. Plenty of parking front and rear to service all the apartments.

Be aware if you are staying with a dog. The hotel is advertised is being dog friendly but you cannot take dogs into the restaurant. Therefore we had to have our paid breakfast separately, whilst we took it in turns to stay with our dog. Also, if arriving on a Sunday, we were unable to eat at the hotel because dogs are not allowed in the restaurant and there is no room service. We ended up travelling the local area in search of food. All pubs had finished serving food at 4pm. We were unable to get a takeaway without having crockery or utensils. After a few hours driving around we found a kebab van nearby, would definitely not recommend the food or service there. The bedroom needed updating and a proper clean, but was habitable.
