Really lacked of enclosed showering,
Not used to shower in an open bath. Guests in the room above you could literally hear every step and move.
3rd floor and no lift does not help but since its historic building we can let this go.
2 windows overlooking the canal had beds at them so €330 a night with canal view wasnt quite with canal view unless you open window and peak out while sitting on the bed.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Normandy. Beautiful hotel, attentive staff, delicious and lovely breakfast. Safe location, large bathroom and basic room was a great size. The pool was warm and huge! We loved it!!! We were warmly welcomed and made to feel pampered.

Our room was clean, the ocean view was lovely, staff was helpful & friendly.
We really enjoyed the location & being able to walk to all the restaurants & beach
was a bonus. On our night of arrival, I thought I might not be able to stay there.
The shower/sink room smelled so bad it made me sick, however, with the doors open
and the ocean breeze blowing in the smell cleared up and the rest of our 4 day visit
was good. We didn't realize we would be 9 stories up and the elevator could get a
little crowded, but it was really nice being up that high and having the ocean breeze
blowing through.
