Great location and friendly staff. Room is clean and practical.

We stayed at Okinawa Kariyushi Resort Exes Naha and overall had a very good experience. The hotel can be a bit tricky to find at first, as the entrance is somewhat hidden and it’s commonly referred to simply as “Exes,” while “Kariyushi” is actually the name of the area. Once you locate it, though, the location is quite convenient—about 20 minutes from the airport by monorail or taxi, and roughly a five-minute walk to the central activity area of Naha. The hotel features a nice open-air swimming pool on the second floor and a gym on an upper floor. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit with three queen beds, which were on the firmer side but comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. The bathroom was also large and came with a good selection of amenities. One small drawback was that the TV only offered local Japanese channels—but honestly, we didn’t come to Okinawa to watch TV. There was a minor issue with a stained chair in the room, but aside from that, everything was in good condition and clean. Being located in downtown Naha means you’re close to shops, restaurants, and nightlife. However, most of Okinawa’s major attractions—like Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium or American Village—are quite far (about 2 hours) from the city. You’ll need either public transportation or a rental car to reach them. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, especially if you want to stay in the heart of Naha while exploring Okinawa.

The staff were very accommodating and the room we had was clean! Even with the do not disturb sign on our door, they made sure to leave us clean toiletries and towels to use by our door! There are plenty of disposable that one can attain in the lobby for long drives and beach days. 100% recommend this hotel.

Room was very nice and comfortable. Location is good. A couple of nits prevented staff from getting 5 stars. First, the bell hop who brought up our luggage clearly wanted a tip and even after my wife gave him 1000 yen, he seemed to be waiting around to see if we would give him more. Since we only paid 1500 yen to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel, the tip already seemed excessive considering the no-tip policy in Japan. Also, even though the maid changed our towels and made our beds, the floor was not vacuumed. The in-house massage was also way over-priced. I was able to get one within a short walk from the hotel for less than 1/3 the price.

Excellent hotel. Very clean, smells wonderful, and is in a wonderful location. You have the Don Quixote across the street and the food market, and there is so much near the area. The room was beautiful, spacious. Nice bathroom, and the price was good, especially seeing as I was able to get it almost at the last minute. I definitely would stay here again! You won’t regret it.
