Ski Mont Gabriel Fishing Holidays

It was unremarkable from the outside but really cute when we got into the building. Location is fantastic & staff were really lovely.

The only issue we had with our stay was the noise from the adjacent bars and restaurants dumbing their empty cans and bottles into dumpsters late at night, and the dumpster dumping process early in the morning. No the properties fault, but it does impact your stay.

The hotel is 5-star and fantastic. No question. The staff could not possibly have been kinder or more helpful. The room was spotless, if small, and the marble and quartz tiled bath was impressive. The location on the Golden Mile was unsurpassed as well. However, I reserved this short stay with my 10-yr old son kind of in a hurry, and there were some things I neglected to confirm. First is...there is no pool in the hotel. Wow. My son was SO looking forward to jumping in the pool the second we arrived after a long hot day of travel. Boo. As a result, and the staff was immensely helpful with this, we were forced to learn the local subway system, and buy tickets to a nearby water park. Unfortunately some kid fouled the pool an hour after we arrived and our day there was done. But again, the staff was great to help us navigate the adventure. Second, and it's just so pedestrian of us, but there was no mini fridge or even chest of dresser drawers in the room. I mean, there were a couple of small drawers but not what you expect. We dined extravagantly the first evening and hoped to save leftovers for the next day. Nope. [Yes, I could have asked the kitchen to refrigerate our box of haut cuisine...but come on.] The bougie class obviously travels differently from us plebs. So I get it. But next time it's the Marriott for me...get the amenities we pedestrians expect!

We were not happy campers and we are easy to please but dearie dearie me did this hotel fail to deliver nor to have much interest in remedying a major problem. It was bad enough returning to our room at 4.00 pm ready to put our feet up after a busy day of sightseeing and finding it not made up; however with 2 maids carts outside we were told we would be next. As insurance I want and grumbled to the front desk who apologized and said it would be taken care off. Well we returned just after 5.00 pm still not done. The front desk were really unresponsive with one unbelievable comment when I was quite emphatic about my desire to have the room serviced “it is not my job” . Well eventually it was done of Course. But no genuine apologies or attempmt to convince us anyone really wanted us to feel any better about what was a major screw up in a so called 4star hotel. Also, the service in the bar was abysmal too. Very slow and inattentive. The hotel Is not well managed and not much customer service ethos. I think they consider the hotel to be on the closer end of the luxury continuum from the motel 6. Avoid this place

What a beautiful and unique property. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The room was spectacular and extremely clean. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Super cool hotel. Modern, sleak and full of interesting art. Slept great. The bar in the basement is a most check out as well
