My stay at The STRAT in Las Vegas started off well, but the last night completely changed my experience. Earlier in my stay, a staff member saw me with my kick scooter and simply told me it couldn’t be ridden inside the hotel. That was understandable, and I followed the rule. No one ever told me the scooter couldn’t be on the property at all. On my final night, a security officer suddenly approached me and said the scooter had to be removed from the property entirely. This was confusing and frustrating since I had already been seen with it before and no one had mentioned any issue beyond not riding it indoors. When the head of security arrived, the situation became even more inappropriate. As I explained that I couldn’t just walk off the property due to my mobility limitations, he responded by saying he “didn’t know disabled people rode kick scooters.” That comment was offensive, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. It also goes against basic expectations of respectful treatment and awareness of accessibility needs. What made the situation worse is that after this exchange, I was suddenly told I could keep the scooter because of my disability. My disability should never have been used as a justification after the fact. If the scooter was truly a problem, it should have been addressed consistently and respectfully from the beginning—not on the last night with inappropriate remarks. This incident overshadowed what had been a good stay. I hope The STRAT takes this serious

Hotel is near the convention center, which is great. The price for the room was fair. The room wasn’t anything special and needed some repairs as there was some water damage in the restroom roof. Overall, for a short work trip. It was acceptable I guess.

Very nice updated hotel. Easy check process for me and was even offered early check for a small fee AND late check out with a small fee. Definitely took advantage of both offers and was a very nice addition I thought. Nice room we got the high floor king room with a strip view. Very clean and spacious. Only thing me and hubby didn't like was no microwave. We had to eat out as does anyone traveling to Las Vegas and no where to heat up my food. But overall very nice and comfortable stay. Enjoyed our weekend!
