Madeira Island Adventure Holidays

This is a nice hotel close to the airport if you are looking for something easy & accessible. We were scheduled for 3 nights but missed two because of flight cancellations out of the Azores. No consideration given for the extreme case. Our room overlooked the ocean which was nice but the beds are hard (all throughout Madeira). The breakfast is great with a lot of choices & the pool areas are fantastic. The swim area on the ocean was our favourite.

This hotel would be great if it wasn’t for a couple of things. The pools close early. Sun goes down at 9pm, but all amenities are closed at 6pm. When you are done exploring for the day, the amenities are closed when you want to use them most. The room needs renovation. The pillows were terrible and the bed is stiff as a board. Parking is a nightmare. They advertise that they have parking, but it was sold out all 5 nights. The only other viable option is at the casino. It’s right next door and the same price nightly, but there are no in and out privileges. This leaves you having to plan your day around only leaving once, which limits your ability to leave multiple times a day. Don’t advertise that you have parking if it is always full. Other than that, great hotel. Beautiful views. And beautiful pools when they are open.

The room we were allocated was spacious (living room with well equipped kitchen unit, bedroom, bath and terrace). All well furnished and equipped. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast and dinner were good. The grounds surrounding are mature and beautifully kept. The swimming pools and bars are very relaxing. Indoor pool and gym also. Musical entertainment every evening in a relaxed setting with the bar.

We love this property, the room, views from the room, the location, free parking, the restaurants & bars on site & especially the amazing staff! From check in to check out & all between, we had an amazing time & received top notch service. The staff was warm, friendly & gave so many great suggestions for things to do, see & where to eat. The gentlemen that runs the “Beer House” went above & beyond, he was so fun to chat with. The lady overseeing resort activities was also amazing. She made the activities so much fun. The views from the room were absolutely stunning, & the room itself comfortable & clean. The daily breakfast was plentiful & tasty. I highly recommend this resort for your stay in beautiful Porto Moniz & we personally can not wait to return. I will always choose Aqua Natura for our stay too! I can’t find one negative thing to say about this place.

We wanted to make our anniversary special, so we chose this hotel for its location, pools and mention of a restaurant. Everything was prepared beautifully. I truly wish I remembered the names of the staff or had written them down. There was an older gentleman and a woman with braces in the restaurant that were so incredibly attentive and kind. There was a woman with glasses and a gentleman with facial hair at the front desk that were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They made this location an 11/10. We could not be happier with the level of service provided. I could not imagine a better stay in Madeira.

Pure luxury in a fantastic location for exploring Funchal. Couldn't fault the hotel, everything was exquisite. We booked a superior room which meant we had a few extra perks (like having a separate breakfast restaurant with table service to name one) and the seam view balcony was huge. Overall we fully recommend the Cliff Bay
