"The hotel is in an excellent position, right on Copacabana beach. It has a very old fashioned feel about it and could definitely do with a spruce up. The room felt dark but everything worked and it was perfectly acceptable. The breakfast choice was good and so was the service. The provision of beach towels was a bonus. The pool is very small. The roof bar is lovely although on occasion it was frequented by large groups of families or loud Americans which really spoilt it. If groups were...
"The perfect hotel - very friendly and helpful staff. Great location - one block from both the beach and the metro. Breakfast sets you up well for the day. Comfy bed. I’d definitely stay again."
"Excellent service by all the staff. Close to the beach but also has a small rooftop pool if you would like to cool off. On site restaurant but plenty of options nearbym"
"Great location. Excellent restaurant and staff. One exception that still smarts is the mistake I made paying in dollars vs local currency. The hotel’s exchange rate on the bill conversion was outrageous!"
"En general el hotel esta bien. Las toallas viejas y la limpieza del baño/ducha no se realiza debidamente, las camas/cuarto muy bien. Desayuno el mismo de siempre todos los dias. Ubicacion excelente y el servicio excelente.
Los 2 unicos detalles son las toallas que son fatales, viejas y en mal estado y la limpieza del baño: tiene hongo de mal lavado por muchos lugares.

"The Copacabana Arena is a beautiful property, I would highly recommend getting the suite. The stunning views were fabulous to wake up to go to sleep to every night. The front desk staff was especially attentive annd spoke perfect English. The room attendance did a wonderful job cleaning the rooms and keeping us in towels and other items. The rooftop bar is A fun place to hang out in the evenings. The location is excellent. The The morning buffet breakfast is also very good with a great variety of breakfast foods, local dishes, tasty juices, Fruit, cheese, bread and pastries. I can’t say enough about this property. I would recommend it highly. "

"The hotel is at a perfect location, in front of the beach. Gender staff were cordial and friendly, and willing to help in any way. The SPA was a great disappointment. I was schedule for a 2 hrs massage; and it finished at 1:15pm, with tea, and at 1:30 pm, an older female worker asked us to finished because they had to clean the room for their next appointment. Basically, they owe me 30minutes of service. In addition, even though they knew Spanish or English, they spoke in Portuguese among themselves regarding the time issues, etc. I would not recommend the SPA to anyone,"
"This is a top hotel! I don't quite understand the negative reviews left. It's at least a four-star hotel and is excellent with staff, reception, and restaurant services. There are always several receptionists on duty, along with several porters. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and serves many local dishes, along with the more traditional. The hotel has granite floors throughout and a wonderful panoramic view of Copacabana. I did upgrade my room once I got there and was so glad I did. Also appreciated the fact that I could take the stairs to my room which were impeccably kept. Everything was clean and high-end. I would definitely stay here again and felt safe and well-served throughout the 8 days I stayed here."
