The Old Fruit Warehouse

Flat 2 of the Old Fruit Warehouse is a deceptively large ground floor Flat which has been beautifully refurbished and tastefully decorated into a holiday home. NEW FITTED LUXURY BATHROOM SUITE AS OF FEBRUARY 2024. It is located in the centre of York, less than 5 minutes walk to Monkgate Bar Walls and less than 10 minutes to York Minster. It has the benefit of its own allocated parking space to the rear of the property. It is ideally located in the city centre with all of York's many attractions, bars, cafes and restaurants on the door step. The racecourse and designer shopping outlet are within a 10 minute drive. Both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach. The property offers a large bedroom with king-size bed, wardrobe and large drawers. It also benefits from a large double sofa bed in the living room. There is also a cot available. There is a Bathroom with L shaped bath with shower over bath, sink and WC. Hand soap and towels provided. There is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen including electric oven with gas hob, larder fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and washing machine/dryer and dishwasher. When its time to relax you can enjoy the comfortable living room with large sofa, LCD HD 32” Flatscreen TV with freeview, DVD player and small DVD library, a selection of games, Ipod Dock and free WiFi Internet access. There is a dining table with 5 chairs and a High Chair.

This flat was comfortable and cosy. It came with a designated parking spot which was a special plus. The flat was only 10 minutes walk into the heart of York which made it very convenient for seniors sight seeing. If ever we returned to York we would definitely rebook.

Excellent ground floor flat, great for our needs. Super comfy bed, beautiful bathroom and brilliant shower. Location just right. Will definitely stay here again. Personally would prefer a Chubb lock as well on actual flat door. Otherwise, amazing!!

Propery was excellent, in a quiet location and within easy walking distance to the centre. Perfect for us. Clean, modernised and more than adequate. Great to have our own car parking spot. All was perfect for us.

City break

The apartment was immaculate the owner kept us fully informed and it was as expected very close to the city centre we walked every day into the town we chose this apartment because it had its own parking space and once parked we didn’t need to move it again this is a great location and would recommend it to all we are an older couple close to retirement and found plenty to do.

A very convenient location in York

The location is close by everyplace you’ll want to go in York. The apartment is spacious with all the amenities you’ll need for a comfortable stay. Take the steps at Monkgate for a nice walk along the Wall. For a fun way to see the city that’ll take you to places you wouldn’t otherwise visit, try Baja Bikes. Cecil gives an outstanding bicycle tour.

Old fruit house

Flat was easy to find + within walking distance of York minster and everything round about. I would definitely try to stay again if I find myself in York another time. It was clean + had plenty dishes + all equipment was easy to use. Hot water a plenty + comfy bed and bed settee.

Our time in York!

This unit in York, was conveniently located to sites like The Shambles, shopping and general site seeing, including the Roman Wall. Angela communicated very well helping us with check-in and the washer/dryer that we had trouble with. She was very proactive in having it looked at. Afterwords, it worked well. The bed was a bit soft, but overall the place was great!

Perfect location, just a short walk to the old city walls, in a nice neighborhood. The flat was immaculate and it was obvious the owner went to great lengths to keep it that way and to make guests welcome. Great communication, comfortable bedroom and living room sofa-bed with separate doors for privacy. Nice sized bathroom with tub and shower. Fully equipped kitchen was smallish, but very functional.

Great Location

Just a short walk to the City Center with all the things we wanted to see and do. Very quiet flat with a complete kitchen should you want to cook meals and a short walk to a supermarket if you need anything to do so. It also is set up up for children so families with little ones will be pleased with it. Angela responded promptly regarding the one issue we had. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this to anyone wanting to visit York's city center.

Xmas markets

I picked this particular property due to location and the fact that it came with a parking space. The property was as described and in fact probably exceeded expectations. Everywhere was very well equipped and clean; it was very cold outside but the heating worked well; main bed and sofa bed were both very comfy and there is plenty of storage / hanging space for clothes. There was a small amount of noise from the road outside and people moving around in the flat above but it is a town-centre flat so this was to be expected and was certainly not intrusive. One suggestion - maybe fit a curtain or blinds to the kitchen door that could be used if someone is staying in the sofa bed in the lounge. All in all a great stay and we will probably be back next time we visit York.
