Farmhouse in Yèvre-le-Châtel with Heated Pool

  • Enjoy plenty of peace and privacy from this traditional farmhouse with no neighbours. The house with a rural location was renovated between 2010 and 2015 and it comfortably accommodates a family.

    In the region surrounding the holiday home, you can enjoy hiking, for example through the nearby forest. A visit to the authentic Forteresse Médiévale de Yèvre-le-Châtel is also worthwhile.

    The holiday home offers a nice view of the swimming pool and you can prepare your favourite dishes in the kitchen. The pool can be heated to 26 degrees in summer and you can start the day relaxed with a dip. There are 4 teak wood sun loungers equipped for relaxation. Enjoy the peace from the terrace, in the sun on deck chairs or in the shade under the parasol. Parking is allowed outdoors, not in the courtyard garden.

    For safety reasons, families with young children are kindly requested to be mindful of the presence of the swimming pool and stream at the edge of the property. The house now has fiber internet with real stability.
    Beach towels are not included It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house

If you want a peaceful and quiet time, this is the place. The actual garden, pool and house are even better than shown in the pictures. The garden is westbound. This means you will always get a nice evening on the outside terrace and pool area. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds are cosy. At night, you do not hear anything but perhaps the little river nearby. There is a BBQ, and Pingpong table, a basketball hoop. Apart from the simply massive garden. Not to mention the great pool. The grounds you have access to cover roughly 7.000 m2. A car is a must have. The next supermarket in indeed around 10 minutes away, but has everything. Bottomline, if you want a peaceful and quiet hideaway where one week gives you the rest and rejuvenation of two, this is the place.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch die Besitzer. Wir machten einen Rundgang durch das Haus und gingen danach. Man gewöhnt sich schnell daran, ein eigenes Schwimmbad zu haben, was für eine wunderbare Sache. Der Garten ist sehr groß, mit einem plätschernden Bach ganz hinten. Und außerdem... ist es ruhig. Sehr, sehr ruhig. Das muss einem also gefallen (das tun wir). Im Ort selbst gibt es keine Bars, Cafés, Terrassen oder Geschäfte, daher muss man ca. 8 km zum Bäcker oder Supermarkt fahren (davon gibt es in Pithiviers reichlich: E. Leclerc, Carrefour, Lidl und Aldi). Auch für Elektrofahrer gibt es bei Lidl einen Power-Charger. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch das Restaurant „Aux bon Vivres“ in Yèvre-le-châtel. Nicht jeden Tag geöffnet, schauen Sie im Voraus auf der Website nach. Das Fort lädt zum Spazierengehen ein und es gibt Überreste einer Kirche. Und es war. Wir kamen hierher, um Ruhe und Frieden zu finden, und wir haben sie auf jeden Fall gefunden. Was das Haus selbst betrifft: Aufgeräumt und bereit. Alles, was Sie für einen einwöchigen Urlaub benötigen, ist vorhanden. Die Küchenschränke und Schubladen könnten etwas Seifenlauge vertragen und wir haben einige Gegenstände (Besteck, Gläser, Schüsseln) aus dem Schrank genommen, die am ersten Tag schmutzig waren. Aber Sie schalten die Spülmaschine ein, schnappen sich Ihr Getränk und Ihr Buch am Pool und das Problem löst sich von selbst. Dies liegt möglicherweise an den Vormietern und ist nicht repräsentativ für den Rest des Hauses. Das Bett war neu und wir haben wunderbar geschlafen! Ein Bett in einem Haus in Frankreich... kann manchmal enttäuschend sein, aber das war eine wundervolle Nachtruhe auf einer neuen „Emma“-Matratze. Alles in allem: Wenn Sie Ruhe (und einen eigenen Pool) mögen, ist dieses Haus sehr zu empfehlen. Endlich: Google Maps sorgt dafür, dass Sie am falschen Haus anhalten. Fahren Sie etwas weiter (auch wenn sich der Straßenname ändert).

A lovely house with wonderful garden where early evening or morning a deer with her calf dropped by every now and then. The pool was absolutely great, as were the sunbeds and the house itself. I would have liked to see a little more 'basic' supplies for kitchen (salt, peper, oil, vinegar, herbs, tea, few cups coffee...). We arrived on Sunday afternoon, there was absolutely nothing in the house and on Sunday after 12.30 hr all shops in the area are closed. Take some basics with you when you plan to arrive on Sunday! Nice little village. If you're looking for a very quiet and layed back holliday, this is where to go. The one real negative was the (lack of) WiFi connection. It just did not work 99% of the time we were there, which means no TV and no internet on phone via WiFi and that is, with 2 teenagers, not a very handy situation. Overall, it was a great holiday!
