"China (Cheena) looked after us so well. She did everything, cooking , cleaning, driving us to ski resort. Our train was cancelled and they came to pick us up at Bandai Altima at a cost which was terrific. "The hotel is situated up in the mountain and built right next to hill side. A great place to relax and just unwind closed to the nature. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were at the hotel ahead of the check in time and they were eager to safekeep our luggage while we ventured out for some sightseeings. The dinner and breakfast were served to us in a private room. Not only was the quality of food top notched, the dedicated staff who was served us was the epitome of Japanese hospitality. Despite our lack of Japanese, she did her best (with the help of a electronic translator) to explain the courses and made us feel very pampered and comfortable. The property and decor does look a bit tired and dated. But the services were impeccable and that more than made up for the somewhat outdated hardware. All in all, a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended."

"The room was on the top floor overlooking the lake but the trees blocked most of the view. The size of the room was good and the bed was comfortable. It would have been good to have smaller pillows available in the room. I ended up rolling up a towel to make a smaller pillow. Meals were included in the stay and there was plenty of variety. Only real bummer is that I think I left my Prescription Progressive Glasses in the room and can't get anyone to pick up the phones & check!"
