"Location is ideal being one with nature. We rented a car so locating the property wasn’t hard. Average hotel. Our room can fit 5 futons. Bathroom size is spacious though the amenities, overall is average. We enjoyed our one night stay. Breakfast is sufficient. "

"We came to Zen and Pine Resort to hike Mt. Yushan. Although that wasn’t possible due to road closure, on the manager’s advice, we instead visited nearby Sun Moon Lake and hiked Mt. Shuishe, which was amazing and rescued our whole trip. I can’t say enough good things about the management of this property. "This is the first time we stayed in a 民宿 in Taiwan and we are glad that we made a good choice。 Laurel Villa is a well designed and well managed facility for travelers to get a good night sleep。 We enjoyed friendly reception once entering the 民宿. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent with many varieties of tasty Taiwanese dishes. We especially appreciated the sunrise bike tour led by the owner, Mr. Wang, who is very knowledgeable about the history, geology, and ecology of Sun Moon Lake. He guided us to the best places for sunrise photography along bike paths of the lake. My whole family including two grandkids enjoyed his warm hospitality during our two-day stay at Laurel Villa during Christmas HOLIDAYs."
