However, the hotel is quite old, and the rooms were simple and somewhat dated. The bathrooms weren’t the cleanest, but again, it’s really about the location. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and both the buffet breakfast and dinner were nice. The shuttle bus to the train station in the morning made it easier to travel to see the sunrise, and with the hotel located in the centre of the park, it was close to all the main walks. The hotel appeared a bit outdated, even though we were in the modern building. One disadvtange was the bath room was open style and it would have been nice to put a door or blinds. Apart from that, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Alishan. As an aside, the hotel organise a private taxi to pick us up from Chiayi to Alishan Hotel, and then from the Alishan hotel to our next destination in Tainan. Alishan is beautiful and very walkable from this hotel. Amazing! An obscure shophouse like inn but full of character and good vibes. Hana is so pleasant and helpful, giving us so much information about where to visit and good restaurants.
