"Lovely and clean, on the edge of the Town centre, opposite the Cathedral. Great for walking into the Centre and quiet at night, apart from the noise of people staying in the Talbot. An old coaching inn, with plenty of character and a warren of walks to get to some rooms. The room we had was a bit dark, but coped with the lights as we were visiting family, who lived local. Staff were lovely from the guys checking us in to the housekeepers cleaning the rooms. Would stay again"

"What a lovely quiet area with lots of walks but close to towns and villages with things to do and see. The grounds were well looked after and usable by our dog as was a good part of the restaurant. The 2 crowning glories though were: the food which was of a high standard being well cooked and presented and the staff who were really welcoming and friendly throughout, knowlegeable about the food on offer and well paced with the ordering and delivery of the food. "

"Very lovely staff team who greeted us on our arrival. Room was super comfortable and the bathroom and shower were superb. Ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. My friend had fish and chips and it looked amazing. Would certainly recommend! "

"Beautiful village location, pub full of character with great food and drink. Ideal on a sunny day. Highly recommended. Only comment (minor point), room was quite small, no real desk space to work from. Plenty of tables and room in the pub itself to work from though so not a big issue. Will definitely be back when in the area. "

"The studio lodge was amazing. Hot tub was ready to go when we arrived and the lodge had everything we needed. Food in the Baiting House was superb, even though the a la carte menu wasn't available on Monday/Tuesday, and breakfast was delicious. "

"Nice stay - lovely meal in the restaurant. Friendly staff in the bar who were all very helpful. Plenty of drinks available in the room with dolce gusto in room aswell. "
