We went with the Expedia secret hotel and this is what we got. I was very dubious after having read the reviews on Trip Advisor but was pleasantly surprised. It was in a good location, staff were friendly, the room was spacious and although it was an older hotel, it was very clean.
Having some work done to our house meant we needed to find a local hotel for a night. We were delighted with our experience.Warm and friendly staff. Great location.Brilliant chef and restaurant. We'll be recommending to our interstate friends and colleagues. Thanks!

I had to contact Quest in regards to arriving after check-in and they were very helpful, polite and understanding. The correspondence after that was excellent. Upon arrival, I followed the procedure for obtaining the key pass, only to find the lifts not working. After several attempts I decided I had to contact the Night Manager. It was after 2am at this point since I had been held up at my rental car company. The Manager was more than understanding and came down to help. There was plenty of room to park the car at all times which is very convenient. The room was excellent with a great view of the 'gabba, withing walking distance of places to eat and a Dan Murphy's just near by. What more could you want? The facilities in the room were superb and an added bonus of Foxtel sport! Very happy.

Chose a 1 bedroom apartment as I was staying for four nights. Given a choice of two, and elected for the one with the better bed (pillow top mattress), even though the bedroom and bathroom were upstairs. Bed very comfortable. No bath in bathroom, contrary to info on some websites: told I should have put this in my original request. Washer and dryer worked well. Kitchen, dining and lounge on lower level. Slides and grill not perfectly clean upon arrival. Similar situation for fridge shelves - something spilt had not been wiped up. Kitchen utensils adequate, except if you wanted to use the microwave, where a small glass jug was the only suitable item. Dining table veneer strips coming off; reported to management on morning of Day 2, but no repair done while I was there. Having Coles adjacent was very handyOven slides not
Most unusally the room had excellent over head lighting. So many places seem to think bedlamps and a desk lamp is all the lighting needed. Walking distance to a shopping area. The only quibble is there was only one chair.
