"Quiet hotel, helpful staff, particularly the young staff, eager to make your stay a nice stay, I did notice an older staff member answering a young staff member with a direct answer and not with the courtesy I’m sure she would have wanted from him in the breakfast area, but the young man just walked to the greeting area and carried on, well done to him but shame on her, it stayed with me for a while, this was this morning Sunday 17th May."

"The room was ok on arrival if you look past the stains on the carpet and hole in the hand towel. When I opened the hand towel a big clump of dark brown hair fell out of it. Made me feel sick. Staff were nice. Check in was horrendous with only one person on the desk so a massive queue had formed. They take £100 off your card “in case” you spend anything on your room during your stay. Parking is ridiculous at £18 a night and a tiny car park it’s difficult to find a spot. Preparations for a wedding stopped us using the overflow car park. Restaurant food was barely ok and very expensive. We were asked if we’d like water for the table then charged £4.50 for the pleasure. Saying that breakfast is wonderful with lots of choice. The spa treatments were fully booked all weekend due to the wedding but the pool etc was available. Don’t use the lockers. If you’re lucky enough to get into one you won’t be able to use it again to get your belongings back as the locks are dodgy. The reception staff have to come in and smash the door off to get you your things out. They advertise free WiFi but we could never log on. The TV doesn’t connect either so only the usual channels to watch. All in all with the tired rooms, poor parking and poor food the stay is overpriced and definitely not a luxury stay. I wouldn’t go back."

"Nice clean hotel, good size standard king room, staff very friendly and informative, tea and coffee available in room with biscuits, Nespresso would have been better as offered by other hotels in the area. Good size desk for working on, with sockets and USB points close to hand. wifi had good signal and easy to connect to. No usb points or plug sockets near the bed though. Hair dryer, safe, iron and board also supplied in the room. Shower was powerful and hot with large head as well as smaller shower and soap/shampoo available. Evening meal was tasty with good portion and friendly, efficient service. Breakfast buffet was good with a wide selection of hot food and some pastries/muffins, great to have fresh baked croissants and pain au choc still warm, cereals, fruit etc with coffee machine. However, the food could have been hotter from the buffet. Parking available at reasonable price for the area £14 overnight, but spaces were quite small with not much room between cars, especially larger cars."

"I submitted a complaint on Thursday regarding my stay on Wedn 13th May, no reply as yet. Stayed 3 times so far & had to be moved 3 times. 1st time wind blowing through the old window's. 2nd time no privacy curtain in bathroom, there was a rail for 1. Wedn took the biscuit though. Won't go into it until I receive a reply, suffice to say the room was VERY shabby. No TV & no heat."
